Unexpected
"The shoe is runs very long. It is comfortable, but that could be contributed to how big it runs. The shoe does not look as good as its picture."

Comfortable!
"I found these shoes to be incredibly comfortable from the get go. I was impressed the first day I wore them and actually look forward to wearing them again because they are that comfortable. I have a tendency to slip off my shoes so these are perfect for me. Great arch support, too."

"These shoes hurt the first night, pinched my toes by the end of my bartending shift. But i guess they just needed a night to stretch. Now they're comfortable enough to work in all night. I have no fear of them wearing out any time soon, and the velcro means they're easy to slip on and off."

Not a lot of support
"I bought these to wear to work in the healthcare field. They fit nicely, but the sole does not give a lot of support. I think because it is mesh it doesn't support the foot as it should for a long day on your feet. If I was not purchasing them for work and used them casually, I think they may be ok.
I have another pair of mesh shoes that are from a podiatric/diabetic shoe company and they give a little more support, but still not enough. I may have to go back to an all over leather shoe.
I was hoping to find the right shoe with this cute grasshopper.:("

Less than expected
"The outside edge of the Grasshoppers' insole is bound with fabric tape, so feels lumpy around the edges. The velcro straps are hard to tighten because they just go straight across instead of looping through a D-ring. I wear custom orthotics, and the heel isn't quite deep enough for it to hold the orthotic and my heel in place as it should. This causes the heel to slip with every step. The fit is good otherwise."

she's happy with them!!
"I got these shoes for my mom. She has a really hard time with shoes. She has a bone spur and a slipped disc in her back so most shoes cause her discomfort. Fortunately these shoes are very comfortable for her. She was able to walk around all day at the mall without any pain. Unlike most comfort type shoes these shoes are actually cute. They are not ugly and bulky. They look a lot better in person as well.
I highly recommend these to people with problem feet and who want to be comfortable."

Comfy but still narrow
"Got these for my Grandmother as she needs wide/extra wide shoes for her feet. Got these in a half size up from what she was wearing previously in the extra wide and they fit her well. They were still too narrow in her regular size so we went one half size up and they fit perfectly! She seems very happy with her new shoes."

extremely comfortable
"These shoes are probably the most comfortable pair of shoes I have ever owned. They aren't the MOST stylish, but they are pretty cute for sneakers and they are like walking on air. The only thing I noticed is that they are not very high on the sides/tongue so my socks show when I wear them."

Perfect shoes for the work
"I was looking for a black pair of shoes to wear at work, and I have to stand up for 8 hours while working. My feet usually hurt by the end of the day, but they don't hurt after wearing this one. I like that it runs wide and very comfortable. Definitely recommend this!"

Finally, a shoe that fits!
"I have wide feet, with narrow heels. My right foot is a little longer than the left, and the left is wider than the right. I also have swelling in my feet due to a medical condition, and need shoes that have as little heel as possible in order to maintain my balance when walking. The Grasshoppers Stretch Plus Sport is wonderful! Because they have a removable insole I am able to wear them even with swollen feet. For those of you whose feet are not swollen, the insole is very cushy and supportive. The velco straps enable you to customize the fit. I highly recommend these shoes!"

"i originally bought these shoes for work. I work in a kitchen and it can get pretty slippery. the tag for these shoes said slip resistant, but i found that when walking through any water spills- soapy or not, i was finding it hard to walk without almost falling.
at first they were comfortable but not if you stand for

Long-time wide husband, first-time narrow wife
"I ordered this for my wife because she didn't have time to go shopping but was complaining about her slip-on shoes. Her feet are super narrow, so she thought no way could a mail-order shoe site have a comfy shoe in her very narrow shoe size. But she was wrong. Having wide feet myself, and knowing about DSW's easy in-store return policy, I searched "narrow women's shoes," she ok'ed the picture, and I ordered these for her. When she opened the package, she was thrilled--now she wears them nearly every day. I even caught her eying some other DSW shoes online a couple days after. Hmmmm."
