Great Boot- Big Around the Calves
" I bought these boots in black. I was looking for the perfect sturdy heel and length. The only problem is the width around the calves. It's true you practically swim in them. You have plenty of room to tuck in your jeans. "

Sleek and supple
" Love them! I have rather "healthy" calves, and even with jeans tucked in, they STILL fit on my legs. The leather is pretty, and yes, slightly darker than in the picture (I got the "tan" pair). They are slouchy, but the slouches aren't sewn in, as a previous reviewer stated. Rather, the leather is looser and has more material to it than the inside lining, so that a slouch is created (and the slouch/wrinkles can be adjusted/moved around).
The fit for the foot is EXACTLY to size, so if you tend to fall in a gray area, you might want to order up a half size. I'm almost always an 8 in dress shoes and dress boots, and these seem to be precise in that measurement. My feet are a little swollen right now, and the right boot is slightly snug, but they still fit enough so that I can wear dress socks/tights with them.
And yes, the heels are high, but if you're used to heels, the height won't be a big deal at all. The foot part IS a little hard to get onto your foot, since they are pull-on boots, but with a little tugging on the leather near the heels, I got them on just fine—and of course I didn't want to take them off!
Also, these came nice and fast to my home, versus other orders I've placed with DSW. For instance, I had ordered a pair of boots for Next Day Shipping (free for Premier members) several weeks ago. I tracked the package online, only to see it languishing with the DSL driver on the truck for two days! Not sure what happened there, but these were delivered by FedEx and arrived Next Day, as promised.
Overall, I'm very happy with these boots and have enjoyed doing little shoe parades in front of the mirror to check them out on my feet, lol. You'll probably do the same! "
