I Did Not Know I Could Walk So Far without PAIN...
" Until I tried these shoes. First let me say, I do not work for Sketchers or any shoe company. I have always liked Sketchers regular tennis shoes in the past because Sketchers seemed to have the most comfortable shoes to fit my wide feet. They have more toe room. Instead of having the pointy style, theirs have always been more boxy like.
I went to Kohls to try out these shapeup shoes when I first saw the ads. The salesgal at the jewelry counter had on the Mary Jane style and ranted and raved how great these shoes are. Kohls did not have my size. So I went to DSW. They were on sale at the time. I asked a salesperson, Danice, to help me make a selection. I was SO glad I got her that day. She was more than knowledgeable about these shoes, she also had personal experience with them. She shared her story of her recent knee surgery and I shared mine on my medical conditions of Fibromyalgia and Arthritis. Both painful conditions that affect my muscles and joints. I am limited in the exercise I can do because of my pain. I am always in search of the "perfect most comfortable shoe." Danice told me if I was to purchase this shoe, to get it in a half size bigger. Because when you walk downhill your toes get pushed forward. Made sense to me. She told me to wear them around the house for about a week to make sure I liked them.
I got home and wrote down my measurements on my thighs, waist and bust to to see if these really would help burn off some inches.
Because of the extreme hot weather I was unable to go outside and walk. Normally I only am able to walk 15- to maybe 30 min without some pain. So I just wore them around the house and did my little Gazelle 20 min workout as normal for about a month. I measured in a month and I had lost 1 inch everywhere. I was impressed.
I could hardly wait for the heat spell to break. When it did, I went for a 30 min walk. No pain that night. Next day I did 40 min. No pain. Next day 45 min, No Pain. After a month of this, I measured again. I lost a total of 3.5 inches almost everywhere. Unbelievable. And the BEST part was: I was NOT in PAIN from walking. Now I do do those little stretching moves before I walk. Maybe those of you who say they are uncomfortable are not doing those stretches. I have sold 4 pairs of these shoes so far to neighbors & friends because they see themselves how I am walking more, not in extreme pain (from walking in other shoes) and the inches I've lost.
Last week I went to see my doc for a checkup and the nurse asked me about these shoes. She said she bought the Avia ones because they were cheaper. But they fell apart. DSW did take them back for her.
She bought the Reeboks then, but she does not care for them. Now she is going to try these.
Honestly, I said the other day to a friend, I don't know how I was able to walk before I met these shoes. I just wish DSW would stock some of the cuter & more fashionable casual styles that Zappos does of these so I can try them on in person and not have to order online.
I am a 51 yr old female..not real young and I have never been a person that exercises on a real regular basis besides walking.
I hope this review helps someone who has chronic pain problems. These shoes won't solve the pain all over my body, but they sure have kept my legs & feet from hurting real bad from just walking.
Today I walked 4 miles in 1 hr 17 min. I have no knee, foot or leg pain. There is no way I could have done this with regular tennis shoes. Amazing!
One more thing I noticed: I did not have to put my insoles in with these shoes. They have a built in arch & comfort insole. I have a very flat feet.
Thanks Sketchers. Please do not stop making these shoes. Oh..and come down on the price a little please! I'd like to be able to afford a few more pair in different colors & styles!

No need for the Gym....
" I received these in a timely mannera as always. I tried them in and at first the feel a bit funny on. But after walking around the house you get a since of exactly how they will work.. I can't wait until the warm weather is over and I'm ready to really wear them more often. ( right now love my open toe shoes). I can see me getting a lot of use out of them. "

This shoe takes some getting used to
" This shoe is pretty comfortable but you have to get used to it. I haven't exercised much in them yet but did the included workout videos and liked them. I'm a bit sore. I don't wear tennis shoes much so my feet feel a bit constricted. The colors of this shoe are more white and less gray than what I thought the picture showed. I prefer more gray. There are sparkly and shiny parts that you can't tell from the online picture. They are fairly cute and comfy though. I hope they tone me up! "
