Had potential but too bunchy at ankles
" I have wide calves (around 16.5 inches) so I thought this would be a great boot. It fits fine over skinny jeans and leggings but I have to have the expansion zipper open all the way and I don't love how the boot bags around my ankles. Perhaps it's just me and my disproportionately wide calves and skinny ankles. I'm returning them. I actually think the faux leather is not the best quality either. The dark brown ones I ordered show a bit of white around the zippers. Great , comfortable heel height though. "

Going Back
" I love Aerosoles comfort but it was lacking in this boot. The manmade material doesn't even come close to looking like leather. I wasn't expecting a real leather look but these look horrible. So the look plus the lack of comfort scores these boots goodbye. "

Aerosoles Infamous Boot
" These shoes are a perfect fit from toe to calf. Wonderfully comfortable and just dressy enough for an evening out. "

Boots for 15.5 inch circ. calves! Finally, a fit!
" I was so petrified of ordering boots online after going to store after store in hopes of finding just The Right Boot for a no frills type of girl with no success. I specifically wanted a black, 1.5-2 inch wedge heel, midcalf boots since I only had one pair and it was getting worn after wearing it for 2 entire snow seasons in a row. This is my first time doing this.
I diligently measured my calf, I am 15.5 inches circumference on the thickest part of my calf and a size 7.5 (although I am usually a 7 or a 7.5, I have fit into shoes that are a 6.5 and an 8). I am 5'4ft and 150 pounds. I happen to think that I am quite an average (American) size! Yet, for some reason, nice dress boots only seem to carry 12 - 15 inch circumference max and that extra half inch really cinches it.
Then these Aerosole Infamous Boot came in the mail today and I couldn't be more thrilled with them! I also simultaneously ordered another pair of black boots, similar style, from Piperlime that are Fossil boots... they are going back because the material of these Aerosoles are far superior than the Fossil that keep sinking around the ankles and jabbing into me. I can also tell right away that the heel is going to be just fine and the soles are perfect against the slipperiness of ice.
I ordered the Medium size in these because the Wide size were all sold out.. I slipped these on over a pair of thick tights and I didn't even have to use the second zipper. It went on without a problem! 15.5 inch calves, girls, and they fit! :)
I usually don't write such an extensive review, but do I have sympathy for girls out there with calves like me! I like to think that I am only slightly bigger than average, but I never realized what a struggle it was in the consumer industry until I moved up north a couple of years ago and had my dignity chipped away at every time a boot couldn't zip all the way up. :(
I encourage you thick calved ladies, do not fear... these are a great buy!
And why are these boots so "infamous", btw? Is it because they cater to average sized folks?
I also never take the time to snap and post up pictures, but I will in hopes of helping you make the decision. "
