very comfortable, work appropriate!

" I finally threw out my old work flats because they were falling apart and made my feet smell awful. I knew I'd keep wearing them unless I got rid of them. Then I went to a DSW store and walked up and down the aisles and looked at all the flats that were appropriate for work. I looked to make sure the soles were solid (and actually existed- I swear my last flats had cardboard soles!), I checked to make sure there was enough padding (I frequently walk around outside at work), and I wanted to find shoes in red or blue so that I could wear them with brown, black, and grey pants. I wanted to try them on in person to make sure they were comfortable and to get the correct sizing. I think I came up with a list of 2 or 3 pairs that fit my qualifications and these were the best price (I also waited a few weeks until DSW.com was having a good promo to save some more money!). These shoes are great. They're so comfortable! I've been wearing them all day at work (including walking around a bit) and so far no blisters (which is rare... I usually need bandaids/moleskin/body glide to break in a new pair of shoes). There is one stiff thread that is kind of poking at me, but I'm pretty sure I can clip it off when I get home. The shoes are made of manmade material so my feet do get a little sweaty since it doesn't breathe easily (gross, I know), but it's not ridiculous. Like another reviewer said, they aren't "fashion forward" but I've come to realize that the most fashionable shoes usually KILL me at work. I'll save those for weddings and special occasions! These can be called "cute" but definitely won't be called "sexy". That's okay though, I work in an office, I just need something appropriate!! These have a great sole and a little bit of a heel (which I wasn't too fond of at first as it struck me as a bit outdated but you can't see it when you're wearing them). I really have high hopes that these will last for a long time. There is a lot of padding inside so they are COMFY. I bought these in the blue/navy color. I really like the color overall, but it's kind of odd. It's not a solid blue, it's marbled with different shades of blue (maybe to simulate the texture of leather??). The buckle is really cute. I might buy these in red to add to my "sensible shoes for work" collection. They are a little loose but it's not uncomfortable to walk in. I'm kind of clumsy and tend to catch my foot on things, so hopefully they won't scuff easily. "

Love these!

" I needed a new pair of flats to go with some shorter jeans that I have and these are perfect! They can go with a casual outfit or with some nice slacks. "
