Uncomfortable and Cheaply Made
"My husband purchased these shoes and was very disappointed with the comfort. The bottom of the shoes are very slippery so it is awkward to walk on carpeting and the shoes began to fall apart after only one wear. We returned these shoes immediately."

Excellent dress shoes!
"I have both the black and brown colors of these shoes. In my opinion, the detail and quality are superb given the price. Having switched from rubber soled dress shoes for quite some time, I had forgotten how comfortable leather soled shoes can be. I wear a suit every day to work and often on the weekends for church related events and they are comfortable all day. DSW shipping is awesome, both pair (ordered seperately) arrived earlier than scheduled. Great job DSW!"

Great shoe
"This Company makes a classic shoe....the kind you at one time could find in the USA and made in the USA. For whatever reason these Italian made shoes fit perfectly on me. The style....awesome....this cognac color....beautiful. I ordered the wingtips too and they fit the same, look just as great. I already had the oxford in black. Had them about a year and they are wonderful. I tried some other shoes in the last six months and none had the fit or finish of Mercanti Fiorentini. Oh, and DSW service is great. These shoes make me feel stylish, cool even."

Brown Is In
"I bought these shoes for my husband recently and he loved them. The fit and quality definitely justifies the price. Not only were they comfortable but very stylish. He's received several complements on them. The color is awesome and the shoes are easily dressed up or down. They fit true to size. My husband says they bring him to Grown Man Status and I agree! Try them out. You won't be disappointed."

Good Shoes
"I really like my Mercanti shoes, great purchase. They have been extremely comfortable from the first day I put them on. The shoes are a great color and appear to be pretty good quality. I think they will last a long time judging by my first 3 weeks in the shoe. The only complaint that I have is the soft leather inserts are 2 pieces. Since there is a seam in the middle of the insole, the leather is peeling up a little."

"Some oxford style shoes are just what they are-oxfords. Mercante oxfords are clearly Italian and although look a little a long on the feet, once you throw on a pair of serious dress, casual, or a business suit, they seem to only add to the handsome-ness of your garments. If you don't have a pair of serious oxfords in your wardrobe, take a look at these by this Italian maker. Wearing top shelf shoes does something good for the ego, guys! Trust me. For me, their stock has just risen..."
