Not what I was hoping for
" I bought these boots online in brown and was disappointed. The high shine makes the leather look fake. Maybe black would look better? Also, I don't have particularly skinny calves, but the shaft was too wide for me. There was too much room at the ankle (which caused bunching) and the top gapped on the outside. I think the asymmetrical top accentuated the gap. Although comfortable, they are on the narrow side. I'll be returning them. The hunt continues! "

Great boot
" I love these boots. The only bad thing is that the leg is so narrow that they are hard to zip...especially with jeans inside. "

Nice boots-- if you have larger calves
" I'm surprised with other reviews claiming these boots are great for slim calves. I have very slender calves but a larger foot (ordered these in a 8.5, normal width). The tan boots look nice, but they were just way too wide. The first thing I thought was that they resembled rainboots. The shape was just not flattering on me. From now on, I'm only looking at boots that have a calf circumference under 14 inches. "
