" This pair is very stylish; perfect for dressing up jeans. The heel is just the right height. The shoes are comfortable to wear shopping and are well-insulated, keeping your feet warm. If I wear thick socks with my size 6, they are a little snug; light-weight dress socks are a better option with these well-constructed shoes. "

" This is a perfect winter shoe with very stable heel. Reminds me of the chukkah boot flair from the 70s. Retro and can be worn with many styles of warm clothing. I especially like the slip proof soles. "

Mixed emotion
" When I first pulled these out of the box, I wasn't certain I was going to like them. They seemed difficult to put on at first, since the tongue doesn't open beyond where it meets the fleece. I contemplated returning them and getting a half size bigger, but decided to give them a try instead. With the leather upper, I decided to put a shoe horn in the opening where the tongue met the arch, and stretch them just a bit. The result was a shoe that is very very comfortable (especially for the height of heel). Getting the half size larger would have made my foot slip around inside I believe - I'm glad I stuck with my actual shoe size. "
