Fantastic boot
"As expected from Bruce Makowsky, this is a very high quality, sexy boot. It fits perfect and true to size. It is a higher heel than most casual boots, but I love that...for special occasions."

love it! just one quibble
"love these boots. they are so comfortable and fashionable. i particularly like that they fit slimmer calves-- i am always looking for slimmer, non-bulky cuts. but if you have wider calves you would do best to stay away from these.
the only quibble i have-- and for which i have deducted a star-- is that these boots are not true black as pictured. they are more light-black or gray-black (see the amazon listing for it if you'd like a truer representation of the color). it bothers me because they go with fewer outfits than i'd planned, but they still look great and remain versatile enough that i will definitely be keeping and wearing them."

Look great...
"The boot looks very nice and is good quality. However, I have to agree with several other reviewers who said the shaft is quite narrow. I have many tall boots, none of them wide calf, and haven't had any real problems until these. They are comfortable, and look great, but beware, they are very narrow in the shaft area...Also, if you are considering the black, know that the heel is pure black, but the boot itself is a lighter grayish black."

tiny calf
"I ordered these online and was so excited when they arrived. They're beautiful - a nice dark grey and look well made. My excitement ended as soon as I tried to put them on - I couldn't get them over my calf, which are pretty average sized. So sad I have to return them."

Must have boot
"I ordered this boot in the black and then went back and ordered in the tan. I love it! It is small in the calf which is what I need. I can finally were leggings with boots and not worry about the calf being to big and floppy!"

Great for smaller calves!
"I agree, the calf is narrow but my calves are on the thin side and I'm always looking for boots that actually fit them ... these boots work for me, so my calves don't look like they're swimming in the boots ... I bought an 8.5 (usually wear an 8) and seem pretty comfy to me, a half size up. Would definitely recommend trying if you are looking for a more narrow calf."

Too High
"This is a beautiful boot but the height of the heel makes it very uncomfortable. Forces your foot forward a lot. I love high heels but this just feels wrong. It also runs short and the calf is very narrow. I really wanted this boot to work because it is so stylish and the distressed camel colored leather is gorgeous. I'm very sorry I had to return them."
