Love this boot
"This boot is very easy to put on. The inside is lined and soft enough not to need socks. It doesn't come in half sizes so I got a size 7 since I figured an 8 would be too large. The Sorel design has an upward turned toe and is a little stiff but not really bothersome. I couldn't wear these boots all day but certainly for a few hours. Excellent quality."

Fernie is For ME
"Love these booties. Glad I got the ankle length instead of the long boots for Atlanta weather. A little loose for my liking because I don't wear socks. Would get 'em again, but a size smaller."

Right size
"I read the reviews so I thought they ran big, NOPE, had to send the sevens back for an eight. I wear a seven and a half. They eights fit perfect. Great soft leather, nicely made."

Easy pull on boots for Chgo. weather
"I purchased 2 of these boots (blk. & brn.....both colors are very nice). I've been searching for some easy pull on boots for Chgo. winters, since I am out with my dogs too many times a day to mention. I've purchased other boots for the same purpose, but found that with socks, they were extremely difficult to pull on, so I returned those. While these do not have tabs to assist in pull on capability, the back elastic does the trick. They were very easy to pull on with medium thickness socks. I normally wear an 8 1/2 in all shoes, except flip flops, which are size 8 & have difficulty ordering full sizes as these boots are. I don't like when boots slide up & down on the back of my foot, so I took a chance & ordered an 8. They feel as if they are exactly right with no room to spare....the width was just fine. Too bad they don't make 8 1/4....LOL. I do think that a 9 would be too big for me. My suggestion is that if your normal shoe size leans toward the higher end of the half size, go up to the higher full size. These are definitely a sporty outdoor look & will work out well for my purpose & should go well with jeans. I was surprised to see that the thick felt type lining extends a smidge over the top of the boot (I missed that in the pic), but that is actually a wise design, because it will prevent the edge of the leather/suede from irritating the leg. We have no snow or sloppy slush today for me to try out the moisture barriers, so I'm hoping that I will also be happy with that aspect of the boots. I hope that my review will help you, as I know that when ordering items on-line, it does help to have a bit of a guide. I'm planning on these being keepers for me."

"I am between sizes. I ordered the larger of the two and sent them back for the smaller. Even the smaller is a little big, but very comfy. Slip them on and go."

Gotta Luv Those Boots!
"I just got home from work and found my order sitting on the front porch just as promised. Even though I knew exactly what was inside I could hardly wait to open up the box and try on my new boots.
These Sorel's (Women's Fernie Bootie) are awesome...very comfy, almost like slippers and the colors are just as deep and rich as they appear online. I love the height, just a couple of inches above the ankle, and the elastic strip in the back makes adding extra socks no problem at all.
I typically don't order many things online, especially shoes or boots because I have always been afraid the sizing wouldn't work for my wide foot. I have never been disappointed. Thank you DSW for making my day...I am smiling!"
