Disappointed
" For the price of this boot, I expected much more. Some of the previous posters were right - - this boot looks very frumpy and similar to a rain boot when put on. The toe box curls upward which makes for a very interesting feeling stride, and the bottom of the shoe is extremely slick. I didn't even think about the slip-risk factor before I bought them. I can see why this boot's price is marked down so much, but it is still a far cry from a good deal. :( "

Way too wide on the leg
" I cant agree more with the last review that was posted. I opened the box and my first thought was that they looked like rain boots. The boot was so wide around my ankle/calf that it was hard to try and walk. Sadly I wil be returning these to the store and hopefully I will have some luck finding a decent riding boot. "

okay
" I was expecting the quality of the boot to be much better than it was. It wasn't anything special or fantastic. The shaft was stiff enough to stay straight up and the sides stick out a bit to give it the riding boot flare. The color is pretty and more of a darker, richer brown then pictured. As for recommending for a friend, I am undecided. Overall, I will end up keeping the boot because I have been looking for a riding boot that wasn't too expensive and the quality I can live with. "

Not what I was expecting...
" I'm not sure how everyone here loved these boots, because they were SO FRIGGIN HUGE! I don't know about everyone else, but when I think "riding boots", I expect them to look sleek and classic, not huge and borderline frumpy! When I opened the box I noticed two things, 1) They were MUCH darker than I imagined and 2) they had an ugly, dark dot/stain on the tip of each boot. I tried them on and was startled when my 8 year old sister asked if they were RAIN BOOTS. And she was spot on- they were so wide and dark and lifeless that they actually looked like cheap rain boots. And let me clarify: I have relatively wide calves! But even with the widest socks and jeans, these boots did not look elegant at all. I went to my local DSW to return them and was ecstatic to find another pair of riding boots that are absolutely gorgeous (Coconuts- Becky boots). Return was super easy too, so at least I still love DSW. But MIA boots= no for me. "
