Love the look, but....
" A friend owns a pair of these boots, and I went to great lengths to track them down and order a pair. I love the way they look; the brown is a great rich color and the buckles up the back are a terrific detail (as well as being functional to adjust the fit). Unfortunately, the fit was very tight and stiff. I can't imagine they'll loosen up enough to ever be comfortable, and I have a very average medium width foot. I hate to, but will return them. "

The boot I finally decided upon
" I wanted a classic riding boot that was real leather, not that cheap looking stuff that wrinkles up. I finally landed on this boot after trying every boot in the store! It has a classic, country look that I can dress up for church and dress down with jeans or leggings for date nights! I am normally a size 8, but because of the width of the footbed and calf circumference, the 8.5 squeezed my toes less and seemed to have a little more room in the calf to fit more comfortably. I received many compliments the first day I wore them and one person even asked if they were Frye boots. "

Versatile and comfortable
" After MONTHS of searching for the perfect boot, this is what I settled on, and I couldn't be happier. I ended up purchasing these in the wide/wide option, and boy am I glad I did. I do have larger calves, but have been disappointed in the past- athletic calves do not mean cankles! I did need to order a half size down- I usually wear 7's but the 6 1/2s had a much better feel, perhaps this was due to the wider fit. The color is absolutely gorgeous, and easily goes with brown, black, blue, and colors. I am able to fit jeans easily underneath, as well. Could wear these all day, no blisters, rubs, or sore feet! Highly recommended! "
