Finally a Boot that Fits!
" I received these boots this weekend and was so excited I tried them on immediately.
The Look: The leather is soft, the boot is made in Brazil (a sign of amazing quality!), and the buckles give the boot a nice rugged look to it. One of the first things I noticed, though, was the slight difference in the color of leather on different portions of the boot. The company obviously anticipated this, because they included a little card in the box explaining that basically because these are real leather boots (and not those fake ones I usually buy), the leather may have those slight differences, which will even out with wear and age. These slight variations in color are not obvious when being worn - only if you examine the boot under a bright light with your glasses on (or contacts in).
The Fit: My calf is 16.5" at the widest spot, just enough to make regular-calf boots not fit. So I ordered the boot in the wide calf option. The calf fits snugly, but I haven't ventured into playing with the buckles to see if it widens any more. I also ordered my exact size and it fits perfectly, maybe even a little loosely (good for with a nice tall pair of socks). I walked around for a bit, and nothing pinched, pulled, or rubbed in the foot or ankle area.
The Verdict: Overall, I am ridiculously pleased with my purchase! I think these boots are going to be a staple of my colder-months wardrobe. "
