Great Boot but HUGE around the calf...
" Ordered these because I wanted a classic boot in leather with a tall heel. Just got these in the mail yesterday...was super excited because I have a few Christmas parties coming up. They look great!! However, when I tried them on, I was super disappointed. The top part (around the calf) is HUGE! I didn't order the wide calf boot...and my calves aren't super skinny. So sad!! These have to go back! :( "

Wide ankle and calf?
" I read a review that said the pair they received may have accidentally been replaced with the wide calf version of this boot. I should have listened! The boot is really classy and cute, and I've been looking for that perfect black pair that will last through constantly changing trends, but I was disappointed once I put them on. The ankle area was very loose. So much so that it was hard to walk in them. The calf part was also unusually loose and shaped funny - the top part of the boot bulges, which makes your legs look extra chunky. My calves aren't stick skinny, but more on the the thin side of normal, so the boots made it look like my calves were thicker than my thighs...definitely not a good look! I liked the overall look of the toe, heel, and the feel of the leather though. I even considered taking it to a cobbler to see if they could slim down the calf part. In the end I figured that it's not worth it to pay for alterations, so these are going back. "

Nice Boots, but some flaws
" These are very nice boots. When I received them, they appeared much different than what the picture portrays. In the picture they look shiny and a medium tan. When I received them the leather was more dull in sheen and a darker, more reddish tan... In Order ot shine them up, I applied some leather lotion to them, and when I wipe it off, some of the boot dye or a coat of shoe wax came off, in fact it came off the entire boot. It didn't really change the color, but it was difficult to get them to shine. Just FYI... I do not plan to return them. "
