Great boots!!!!
" I just bought these boots yesterday and I'm in love - so much so that I'm writing a review, which I don't normally do. I wasn't even looking for this type of boot (I wanted something a little bulkier to wear with skinny corduroys), but when I put these on I just had to get them. I bought them in brown, which is lighter than pictured here - it's a beautiful light chocolate brown.
One of the things I like most about this boot is that it's pretty much straight up and down, so the calf area is not gigantic with a massive tapering at the foot. The ankle and calf areas fit fairly closely. If you have large calves, these may not really work for you. I don't consider myself to have tiny calves, but I was able to fit bootcut jeans inside these boots without much problem (and the side zipper helped with pulling down the jeans inside). I have a pretty wide foot and the medium width was fine - there was plenty of room in the foot area for me.
I'm about 5'5" and they hit JUST below my knee. I like this, but if you're shorter, it may not hit in a good place (if you're taller, it would probably be fine). As others have mentioned, the front of the boot is higher and there's a slight dip behind the knee. I think this looks good, but others might not like it.
One other thing I just LOVE about these boots - my feet hate all shoes and it's really hard for me to find shoes that are comfortable to walk around in for even 10 minutes at a time, but these were already comfortable enough to walk around town in on the first day. I even kept them on for a while when I was in my house just lounging on the couch and they were super comfortable to keep on - they didn't get overly hot and they don't cut into my legs when I'm sitting down.

Great Boot!
" I've been looking for the perfect pair of brown riding boots FOREVER, and I'm glad to say I found them! The brown goes with everything. Although I wanted real leather, I just couldn't find a pair that was within my price range. They are great boots and I like the look of them so much. The only cons I have about these boots are that they run slightly tall. I'm 5'6" and these hit just below my knee which is sort of annoying when your jeans bunch up around the knee, but easy to fix. The other con is that they are very slippery in the snow and wintery weather. So be careful! I've had a couple close calls! All around great boots. I get so many compliments on them! Plus I had so many coupons and discounts to use with them. Love DSW! "

" These were very cute and comfortable - and a classic style that could be dressed up or down. Although I loved the look, I decided to exchange these for a similar pair of boots that have a full zipper (easier to get on and off!). "
