poor design
" the brown of this boot is more of a chocolate color, actually very nice! this is supposed to be a wide width boot but it's not. no zipper made it tough to pull on. i had to unbuckle the buckles to get it over my 16 inch calf. once it was on it would not buckle, not even close! too bad because i loved the color and the subtle lug sole =( i would recommend to a non-wide calf person. "

Finally a WIDE calf boot that fits!
" I've ordered and sent back multiple pairs of boots this winter season, so, to save on shipping, I decided to look around DSW and then take advantage of their "return to the store" policy. Luckily, I didn't have to return these to the store! They fit! My calves, when measured, are a scary 17.5 inches around which makes boot shopping impossible. I also live in Boston which makes boot shopping a necessity. I did have to adjust the buckle on these and they are TIGHT, but the elastic lets me stretch them out a bit and they feel better by the third wear. The color isn't a true brown, more of an olive green brown. Honestly, I don't care about the color. When I find boots that fit, I just take whatever I can get. "

Buying 2nd pair as a back-up!
" I was extremely skeptical about these. I have muscular leg and can't wear every boot I see..
I was afraid the archery boot would look cheap..I was so wrong and couldn't be more happy that I was wrong :)
This is first boot I ever bought that goes over my 18 inch calf. It actually hits my knees.. I wore with socks on cold day (13 degrees) and didn't feel a thing. Lastly the quality is really great. I gotta steal and gonna order a pair in blk and second brown pair for back-up. "

NOT a wide calf boot
" I don't know who decided that these are wide calf because they are clearly not. I don't even really have wide calves, but being 5 months pregnant and already dealing with some swelling, I wanted something more comfortable. Clearly this wasn't it because there's no way I could get my foot in these. Plus the pull on design makes no sense. Why not have a descreet zipper?
Two stars because they look cute.... if you have chicken legs. "
