Wish I hadn't gotten rid of my old ones!
"Had duckies by Sporto years ago, like in 1990. Then I got bored of them and figured I'd get another pair one day.
Got a dog to walk in the morning dew and so my time is now. Unfortunately these shoes are not true to size, normally wear a narrow 91/2 and the size 10 were too short. They have to go back and sadly size 11 is not sold."

SO COMFY !!!!! LOVE THEM
"I'm wearing them around the house to see if they are comfortable for a trip next month. I will be wearing them on long walks in Germany doing a lot of sightseeing in cold weather. They are so comfortable & great looking. I ordered a 7 so I could wear a medium heavy pair of socks and it's perfect - I'm a size 6 1/2 normal width. You can't wear these without socks because the fleece inner lining is not in the toe area and the plastic or whatever they are made of is very hard on your little toes so you must wear socks in my opinion. I'm in heaven - they are so comfy on my feet. I will be able to live in these day in and day out I'm sure. I've seen nothing but rave reviews on these Sporto Duck shoes. I would not call them boots because they are right at the ankle. These are shoes."

Great in the rain
"These shoes were meant for when it's raining outside. Not good in the snow or when it's slushy out. They were too slippery in the snow...I fell with them."

"I had a pair of Sporto's when I was younger and loved them....so I knew I'd love these as well. Thankfully the first weekend I got them, it was raining so I was able to give them a test right away.
Fit - they do run large (wide and long) Since no half sizes, I went for the size up rather than the size down - I used a pair of thick socks and my feet stayed warm, dry, and the shoes didn't try to slip off. I think putting an insert under the fleece insert in the shoe (which is removeable) will help but just wearing socks worked just as good and they were comfortable.
Appearance - perfect - exception is the ties - which are worse than Minnetonkas as staying tied/tight. I plan to hotglue mine so I won't be having to continually mess with them.
I would recommend these - a nice swap for rainboots - especially when you're wearing jeans that won't tuck into boots."

Wonderfully Waterproof
"I bought these to use in rainy and sloppy weather and they do not disappoint. They are perfect for slushing around outdoors especially while walking a dog. No worries about what is stepped in or on, these shoes will rinse off easily.
My initial concern was comfort; I bought similar in the past when they were all the rage and had an uncomfortable time with what I got. Sporto does it right and the shoe feels like one cohesive piece. No irritation or uncomfortable rubbing - the fleece lining is very comfortable.
They are waterproof so realize that they are not breathable. I made the mistake of wearing them to work one day and had to take them off within an hour because my feet were warm and starting to sweat.
They won't be warm enough to stand outside for hours in freezing weather... but for slushy and rainy conditions they really can't be beat. I bought a pair in black and I love them. They may travel to London with me in the spring."

love red
"9 too small, 10 too big so I got the ten then added an extra insole and now they fix perfect. They weren't that comfortable until I added the insole which gave it the arch support which was lacking. Love red on a rainy day and that was what I wanted."

Duck Shoes Left My Feet Wet

"I bought a pair of blue Aroostic several years ago which are still going strong & am high and dry with them. But in March of 2011 I bought whatever the style of this product was out in black. Apparenty they changed what the shoe was made out of. As soon as the weather turned cooler (November) one shoe started cracking in two places. I was able to repair it with waterproof sealant. With the sealant they held up until today when I got a huge crack over one inch long in each shoe that went the whole way thru each shoe leaving them unrepairable and both of my socks soaking wet. So I had to throw them away after only having them about a year and a half. Plus the soles were worn thru. I really woud have expected them to hold up a bit longer than a year and a half. Now I must admit when I first bought them I loved them. I just wish they had held up longer."

"Bought the blue and fell in love. Wore it for the first time to do my shopping on Black Friday and was amazed by how comfortable and cozy it was. In addition, they are also quite cute. Will be purchasing the red and brown."

Dry but Cold Feet - Don't Buy
"These shoes do keep your feet dry but not warm even to the slightest degree. In spite of the warm appearance given by the fleece, my feet were cold, top and bottom, when I was outside on wet grass in 40 degree weather. There is only a fabric liner (not insulating) on the underside of the top and my feet were colder than with my regular shoes. HUGE disappointment but I've worn them once so can't return - maybe they'll work as a summer gardening shoe . Also, lace does not stay tied!"

bring on the rain!
"I tried a different pair of duck sportos and of the two this pair is SOO much better! Maybe its the fleece that prohibits the digging in the ankles and floppiness, but these shoes are so comfortable. They go on easy, feel good, aren't too small (big toe nearly at the end), and look great too! If you're going to buy a pair of Sporto, get this one. It's definitely worth the extra money."

Vintage!!
"Wow, I had a pair of these in college and forgot how great they are! I was looking for something totally waterproof, easy to slip on, and warm--for those tromps through the wet grass in the morning and evening with my dogs. I have rain boots--but I wanted something a little more comfortable and stylish. These totally fit the bill. They are a smidgen short--my toe is at the very end, but not uncomfortable. They will still work with thicker socks. I am thrilled to have something waterproof that I can slip on quickly, and at such a great price!!"
