"Amazing" sandals
" It was love at first sight with these sandals. I ordered them online in black, size 11M, on a Friday and had them the following Wednesday – good service from DSW. When I opened the White Mountain box, I was surprised to see that the shoes actually had a Naturalizer label on the insole. What's up with that? But since Naturalizer is a favorite brand of mine, I was not at all unhappy. Perhaps a Chinese manufacturer sold this model to both White Mountain and Naturalizer, and may have got them mixed up in packaging. It doesn't matter. I put them on and the padded footbed felt heavenly. These sandals could have been made to a last that was molded from MY feet. I have only a couple of other sandals that fit as well in the arch. The heel height, 4 1/4 inches, with a 3/4” platform, (in size 11M) was very comfortable. These sandals are well balanced, light weight, and very stable. They are easy to walk in and the straps are snug and comfortable. My feet stay in place like they're supposed to, caressed by the wide leather straps. The only bad news was that the placement of the straps is not ideal for my feet. To be fair, I've got minor bunions on both feet. The cross strap on the right shoe goes over my bunion fine, but the bunion on my left foot is pinched between the front strap and cross strap. Sitting is fine, but after walking and standing for a length of time, I find the straps start to be irritating. The good news is that after a week of wearing, it's much better than at first. I'm confident that as the straps stretch with more wearing, these sandals will be fine for walking longer distances and wearing all day. I love the looks and I know that these will be great shoes this summer. Well done, DSW/White Mountain/Naturalizer - you have a winner here! I have to conclude this review by disclosing that I'm a fashion-forward male who mixes clothes from both sides of the aisle. I like to present an unmistakably male appearance that is clean, fashionable, and tasteful. I wear these sandals, barefoot or with dark sheer hose, and under long boot-cut jeans, and, like a growing number of guys who enjoy wearing women's heels, I still present a masculine appearance that is acceptable to my wife, family, and friends. In fact my wife's sorority sister said these sandals were amazing and planned to buy a pair, too! "
