Wide calf boot
" I normally wear anywhere between sizes 9 to 10. The extra wide 9.5 was way too big. The detail on the boot was very pretty but I personally didn't like how high the foot area went and my toes were swimming. Will be returning to try a different style. "

Too wide foot/ankle, not quite wide enough calf
" First, these boots are even more beautiful in person than online. The leather is kidskin soft, like perfect leather gloves. The construction is sturdy and the boots are very well made. These are brown on brown two tone; on my browser it was hard to tell if they were black/brown, but the tooled part is a milk chocolate color and the upper and lower solid leather parts are a rich dark chocolate tone.
These are labeled wide/wide calf, and they are indeed. I have a C-width foot and slightly narrow heels, and my foot was swimming in these. The ankles were really baggy for my fairly-slender ankles, but the widest part barely got around my 17" calves. I could close them, but the beautiful pattern in the leather started stretching a bit, and I was concerned they wouldn't look good after they stretched.
Would be good for someone with 16" calves and larger ankles, especially if you have genuinely wide feet and heels. Unfortunately, I had to return these beauties, because they just didn't fit me. I was sorry to see them go, but knew I wouldn't wear them much because of the fit issues. "

Disappointed!
" These boots are gorgeous and very comfortable...but "wide calf" is an understatement. I'm a former ballerina and gymnast, so I have some rockin' calves. When I put these on, they look like upside down traffic cones. I purchased them because I have wide feet and they offer a wide width. These would be PERFECT if they offered wide width WITHOUT the wide calf. Other than that, the boots are incredible. They are comfortable, and very warm (because they are lined!) Sadly, because they are just TOO wide, I will be returning. "

" These boots are great. They truly are a wide calf boot and still look classy. The embossed leather gives them a very unique look that can be casual or dressed up. "
