Love them
"I am an average size woman with fairly thin ankles and lower legs. My husband immediately noticed that the ankles of these boots weren't sagging. They fit beautifully, and I like the buckle detail, too. I've worn them with skinny jeans, and skirts."

Lovely classic boot
"I looked long and hard for a sleek, stylish pair of boots. I bought these in the cognac, and love them! I originally wanted a lighter tan color, but the color on these is so rich and beautiful, I have zero complaints on that front. My only complaint is that they seem a little narrow in the foot region, but that problem is solving itself as I wear them in. I will say that if you don't have calves that are on the skinnier side, these may not work for you. I have calves that are on the skinnier side of average and these are snug, but that's what I wanted. The zipper at the back is cute and functional. LOVE these boots!"

Amazing boot

Beautiful boots
"I tried these boots on in the store in a larger size as my size was not available and loved them immediately, so I ordered them online. The leather is quite soft compared to many of the boots I tried and they are quite comfortable. I was a little worried about the shaft width, as I usually need a wide calf boot with at least a 15" circumference, and this boot's was listed as 14". They are just a bit tight and I had to work to zip them up the first time, but they stretched a bit for me right away. I'm still thinking about getting the shaft stretched another 1/4" or so, but I'm incredibly happy with the fit. These are high quality boots and I expect them to wear well. The back zipper is just a bit sticky, as one other review noted, so I'm trusting that it will get smoother over time and use."

Obsessed.
"I bought these boots online without trying them on or seeing them in a store first. They are perfect.
Love the color. Exactly what I expected from the online picture. Sizing is great. I'm a true 6.5 and ordered a 6.5. They were a little stiff at first, but after wearing them for two weeks, they are breaking in quite nicely. I am 5'7", 120 lbs. My legs are normal/thin and not muscular. They are the perfect size with boot socks and skinny jeans tucked in. I measured the circumference on these size 6.5 boots and it is exactly 13.5". Also, they hit 2 inches below my knee.
I would NOT recommend these for someone who is short or has muscular/large calves."

Skinny leg boots
"I bought these yesterday as I have been looking for a riding boot that will fit a bit snug on me. I asked one of the clerks at the shore for riding boots for skinny legs, and she replied that mfg'rs are not making them narrow like they used to. These boots were the closest I could find. I have been looking for weeks. Tried these on several times over the last month. Comfortable, I think the reason they seem narrow is because they are hign on the leg. Up to the knee so it makes them appear less loose. They are flat brown riding boots and I would recommend them."

"I have been searching for new brown boots and these are it!
They are very comfy and match so many outfits. I can dress them up or down. I'm a true 7.5 but opted for the 8 to give a little more room in the calf for tucking in jeans and pants. Worth the price and are good quality."

Nice Shoe But Too Big
"The description is totally wrong. The calf width is huge--probably 15 inches. If you have skinny calves these shoes will look like rain boots on you.
Also, I'm 5'3" and the boots are pretty tall, they reached up to right below my knee cap, so I basically looked like a little girl dressing up in mommy's clothes.
If you're petite, find another boot if you want something tighter-fitting. If you're tall and don't mind a huge calf then this is a good shoe.
Super comfy and lovely color. I thought it would be too burgandy/reddish, but it is a really nice brown--unlike anything I've seen around. Makes the boot really look luxurious. The material is soft (not stiff) but it's super delicate. You could easily scratch them up if you're not careful...so be careful walking in them if you don't like the weathered look."

Wow!
"After I had ordered these online, I wasn't sure if I really needed another pair of boots and was already thinking about returning them after I received them. When I opened the box, I LOVED the color and quality of the boot. After they were on my feet, I was sold. OMG - so comfortable!! I just couldn't return them. These will be my "go to" boots for the winter. I will have to agree with previous reviews, the circumference of the boot is larger than listed. But, lucky for me, I have larger calves so they fit me perfect! I'm sold on Franco Sarto! Thanks DSW for the great price!"

Purchase of Franco Sarto Profile Ridiing Boots
"I have been eyeing these boots for a year. I thought they were by far the most sophisticated and good looking boots I had seen any were. Much to my surprise my kids gave them to me forbid hay. I was greatly appreciative and the boots are even more beautiful in person I absolutely love them. Their nicely made, good leather. Slimmer in the calf and the zipper is a nice feature. I can' t get the very comfy button to go in that direction however the boots are very comfortable!"

Perfect Boots!
"I'm a 23 year old living in Boston and wanted some new boots for this fall/winter season. I bought these boots in black. They have a timeless design and the leather is high-quality. They are not slouchy and fit tightly around my calves, but still look great with skinny jeans. The sole is rubber and will be perfect for snow!"

Good quality but inaccurate description.
"Like other reviewers, I ordered this boot based on its slim appearance in the photo and the description that stated the calf opening was 13". I was skeptical that it was truly 13" but didn't expect more than 14". Well, it measured a little over 15" circumference, and the boots looked like rain boots on me. Don't get me wrong, these are GORGEOUS leather and very well made, but the fit was all wrong. There was a lot of room at the top of my foot/ankle as well, which contributed to the "rain boot" effect."

Wrong Description
"I have narrow calves (exactly 13"), so I expected the boots would fit perfectly, but I found that the actual calf circumference was much larger than what was stated (13") in the description. I love the quality of the leather and the beautiful rich cognac color, but they just look too big on me. I think they fit calf size around 14" the best."

"I mainly purchased these because the calf circumference was described as 13." They are not even close--I measured and they are 15 1/2. I would of purchased different boot if I knew the true measurements. I am returning these."

"I was skeptical about ordering online without seeing the boot or trying it on as I've never ordered a shoe online. But I took the chance and was sooo happy with how this boot looked and it fit perfectly! It looks and feels like a very expensive boot and is really worth the price. I haven't seen anything as nice in the stores that can compare to these boots."
