The Good and Bad...
" These look just like the pictures, and are what I expected.
The good:
1. They zip up the side so you don't have to untie them!
2. Because the sides are separate pieces almost to the front of the shoe, there is a lot of room to adjust width by tightening/loosening laces.
3. They are really cute -the buckle and zipper add a little interest compared to a typical plain high-top, and the corduroy-like canvas (at least on the grey ones) classes them up some.
Things to watch out for:
1. I have semi-wide feet in the toe area and (like another reviewer said) there is a seam on the inside that sort-of pushes right at the widest point of my foot near the big toe joint and pinky toe. This isn't terrible on my feet, and I feel like it'll soften up a bit once I wear them more.
2. There's not much support or cushion in there -comparable to a pair of converse.... you might not want to go running in them, but good casual shoe.
3. The laces are REALLY long. With wider feet I should be using a lot of lace, but the bow is still hangs 3+ inches long when you lace all the way to the top. (Maybe I was supposed to wrap them around my ankle twice like ice skates?) No big deal -I switched the bright white laces out for a fun color anyway) "

My poor pinky toes!
" Ahhh! They hurt my pinky toes pretty bad. Theres this part on the side of the shoe where is rubs against them and it hurts. Ive never had this happen before so i dont think its me. They look nice though. I had to loosen up the laces cause it was a little tight. They dont hurt when im not moving but when im walking around it hurts. Also my socks constantly slip of my foot and into the shoe. This happens with my boots but not my other sneakers so im guessing its just cause the ankle part is a little higher than my others. "
