Great Fall Boot
"This boot is exactly what I needed for the colder season. I've got compliments on this boot and it's really elegant looking. The color (I got the brown) is very rich. I wear a 6.5 and there's a little extra toe space (where it tapers to a point). I highly recommend this shoe - if it's still available in your size!"

Stylish boot
"I was so excited to finally find a boot that was stylish and in a wide calf. I have always had muscular calves and generally don't like boots that have the elastic panel running the length of the boot. When I saw these I was excited because they were a really pretty deep brown leather that compliments so many colors. I've worn them a few times and they are comfortable and very slimming to the leg."

Not a wide calf boot as it states
"I bought this specifically because the description said it was a wide calf boot. When I received the boots in the mail I was so disappointed to learn that they did not fit. I don't believe they should be labeled as a wide calf ;-("

Lots of compliments
"The foot and ankle area is snug and the calf is not tight at all (maybe a little too loose). They are wide calf and I usually have problems putting on boots. I'm short so it looks like I have wings! BUT they look great on and I know the foot bed will stretch. They will be very comfortable."

"The leather quality is superb, I bought the wide calf by mistake so it's slightly loose around the calf area but it still looks great. It's very comfortable as well which is always a bonus!"

Suggest ordering half size up
"I love these boots! They are exactly what I was looking for. However, I got my standard size & they were very tight in my ankle area. They fit everywhere else but around my ankle bone & the top of my foot. I have returned them for a half size up & I'm sure to be pleased!"

LOVE these boots!
"I have athletic calves and have a really hard time finding boots that do not also make me look like I have cankles! I was able to pull these out of the box and put them right over skinny jeans and zip them up. YAY!!! They are almost a bit too wide at the top of them but I will absolutely deal with it because they are a gorgeous boot that make my legs look nice and not big and boxy like many wide calf boots do to me. My legs themselves are not fat, it is just that my calves are very muscular and do not fit in regular boots, so I am extremely hard to fit! The brown color is gorgeous, the leather is soft and these are the find of the century for me. Highly recommend."

Great looking and very comfortable
"I have difficulty finding boots since I am somewhere between regular calf width and the wide calf offerings. They are wide calf but the whole shaft is wider so they are a little gappy at the top for me. But not such an issue that I would return them. They are comfortable and look great."

Very Pretty, Very Wide
"Beautiful boot that's beautifully made, but the shaft is VERY WIDE. I typically order wide shaft tall boots because I have muscular calves, but these were gaping by about 2 inches. Sad that they have to back."

Great for wide calves!
"I have small feet (any where from size 5 to a 6), but muscular calves and have always had a tough time finding "tall" boots, even sometimes when they are advertised as "wide calf." However, these Franco Sartos are true to their description - they fit my calf perfectly, with even a little room so they are not "squeezing" my leg. And of course, they are on trend right now and a great, rich color (I ordered the brown). I get a lot of compliments on them every time I wear them."

"Very cute boots! Calf is wide, but the bottom is actually a little more narrow. Can be slightly uncomfortable if you're walking far, but overall a great boot. Definitely looks good and can be dressed up or down. Exactly as pictured."

Wide at the top opening
"I have 15.5" calves, so I was excited to order these wide calf boots.
The top opening of the shaft is a little too wide...the widest part of my calf that needs the width is a few inches down from the top, so I don't understand why it's so wide at the top opening. It sticks out quite a bit at the top edge, on the outside of your leg. Other reviewers mentioned this too.
I do like having the full zipper down the inside of the leg, so you can straighten your skinny jeans and zip the boots right over them. I can easily wear these with jeans and socks. It's just that top edge that is too wide for me! I wish DSW carried wide calf boots in the store, so you can actually try them on and see."
