Close, but not quite.

" I got excited about this boot because I have skinny calves and everyone was complaining about snugness in the boot shaft. I initially ordered an 8, which is what I tend to wear these days (after having a baby, my feet grew a little). I found them too large and ordered a 7.5, along with a 7.5 in the Me Too Dee. I'm opting to send these back because of a few things: While they do fit my thin calves and ankles very well, the v-shaped cutout at the back makes the top flare and gives the boot a saggy appearance on me, as well as looking a little pirate-ish. (See my photo- This boot is on the left, you can see some sag in the shaft and the weird flare at the top.) The heel is also very noisy when I walk, which drives me nuts. The footbed on the Me Too Dee boot was also much more comfortable. The Me Too Dee boot wins, for me! Bye bye, Blakely. "

" Be careful when purchasing this boot online, I have a very small foot (size 6) and I ordered a size 6.5 to leave a little wriggle room for when I wear winter socks and the boot was so extremely tight around my feet and ankles. The top of the boot was cutting into my knees. Try these boots in store prior to purchasing! Otherwise a very cute boot. "

Finally, a good brown boot that fits!
" After searching high and low for many years, I've found a brown (ok, cognac) boot that works for me!
These are quite distressed, so they aren't "fancy" but they work great for wearing around town, campus, etc. I have thin calves/legs so I was beginning to think I'd never find anything, but since these have an "open" back, they are supposed to have a space and thus, they work for thin calves. They are quite tight the rest of the way down, I feel "supported" when I wear them. I'm 5'4 and they hit just below the knee (1-2 inches) which is perfect for my needs. I can wear with skinny jeans, leggings, and skirts/dresses (for casual looks).
I did size down 1/2 size (8 to 7.5) since they are leather and I assume they will stretch and the 8 was a tiny bit big already.
Also, be aware, the brand is "matisse" when you get the box. "

A little big
" I think these are running about a .5 size big. I got my normal size in the mail and have just enough room in the toe that my foot is shifting around. I'll see if my local store has a half size smaller because the look and feel of these boots are great! "
