wide and long shaft
" My shoe size ranges between 7 (only if it's athletic shoes) to 81/2 (narrow/stiff material shoes) depends on the style and shape of the shoes. I have wide and high arch foot. I ordered 7 W and 71/2 to try and they both fit, 7 W fit like gloves but not too tight, and 71/2 fit pretty comfortable with tights. Pretty comfy shoes around my foot! Great quality of leather and well made. and it's made in ITALY :)
However, the shaft is made too wide (FYI my widest calf measure about 13 1/4 and I can still stick my hand in there)... I didn't see much difference between the sizes.
The pic looks pretty straight and thought they must fit beautifully, but the reality was different... somewhat weird shape, when you see from the side.
Since I am short, top of the shaft hits my knee cap and sticks out to the side, too... not pretty :(
Color look lighter and grayer than the pic, but it still look pretty.
Loved the quality and feel for my feet, but over all, I am disappointed how they look around my legs... Sadly, they are going back. "

Wow!!! Really great boots!
" These boots arrived this week and they're exactly what I was hoping they'd be. They're a beautiful soft brown and really comfortable. I debated whether to spend the money on these but I'm glad I did. Nice quality. They run just a little long and I was considering exchanging for 1/2 size smaller. I normally wear an 8M but a 7 1/2 in most boots. I ordered an 8 to be on the safe side since Italian brands seem to run a little smaller and narrower. But I think the 7 1/2 would be too small. Might have to wear a thicker sock since they've already softened up wearing them around the house. They hug the calf w/room for skinny jeans and they're taller than most so they look long and lean. "
