Nice from the side, weird from above
" I find the taper to be an odd shape than what I'm used to: it goes from too wide to pointy flat toe. I kept them, wear them, and get compliments. The buckles & straps are a nice touch. Monk straps are different than the usual. Saw a lot of reviews about the creasing but that happens with every shoe. Looks like normal wear on this pair. I don't find them to be super comfortable but they're not painful either. Go for it. "

" I loved these shoes and wore through them after about a year and a half. I was so happy when I discovered that I could order another pair online. Not only did I order one pair...I ended up getting 2 pair!!! "

A very good shoe
" My husband loves the buckle design of the shoe. And he says they are very comfortable too.. The only bad part is the upper leather of the shoe gets creases from the first use.. but for such a great price and style, it is not a big deal for him! "

Dependable
" Unsurprisingly for a pair of Steve Maddens, these shoes do not disappoint for work or leisure. Only downside is that the leather will noticeably crease from the bend of your foot within a single wear. However, for the price, the style and comfort of these shoes are pretty much unbeatable. "
