"The shoe is comfortable like all Steve Maddens. It does run a little long and you might need to undo the straps to get them on. Still it fits great, wears great, and looks great."

Perfect shoes!
"I got these for my husband. I was kind of scared since he usually buys the ones with laces, but I loved the style so much that decided to buy them. He loooooved them!! They were just a little big. He is always a 9.5, so I exchanged them at my closest DSW store for a 9 and problem resolved. Yes, I would definitely recommend these. Perfect purchase!!"

Nice, classy work shoes
"They look amazing, very nice for work or even a formal night out. Would recommend. Not 5 stars because after wearing a few times, some creases above the toe, more than expected. Nonetheless, a very nice looking shoe. Tag states: Leather upper, Rubber outsole, Made in China."

Comfortable and high in fashion for dress shoes
"I bought them for my fiancee and he loved them. His friends praised me for good choice! :) Had to buy them since price was pretty good compared to others in their category. Comfortable and look good as dress shoes. Keep in mind they are not slip-ons. You would have to open the strap to slip your foot in."

Slick Shoes
"I bought these after searching for a while for black shoes. I have a couple of nice pairs of brown Cole Haans in different styles and a black pair of casual Cole Haan lace ups, but I had to get some black dress shoes. These are really comfy. I like to get shoes that I don't see everyone in and these fit the bill. usually I see guys in cap toes or some square toed shoe. Not many gents in monk straps. Anyhow, the leather is a little stiff. I think some mink oil will soften them up nicely. Other than that, these are good looking shoes and comfy."

Entry level double monk
"I've worn the SM double monk twice and I have no complaints. It is a good shoe for the price point. I know some people are skeptical of monks but I like them and the double monk is a nice alternative.
To me the nice thing about monks are that you can dress them up or down rather easy depending on what you pair with them. The SM's can go with suits, slacks or jeans so they are very flexible."

"I bought these pair for my husband as a gift. They turned out to be a very good surprise! This is the first double monks shoes he ever have. I was not sure about the style at the first. He just loved them. Look great with outfits for job. It is true to size and very comfortable."

Great Double Monks!
"These double monks are the best on the market for the price! They do seem to be just maybe a half size to large but other than that I have no complaints at all. The clasps themselves hold strong and prevent you from walking uncomfortably."

Just What I was looking For
"I had ordered the Kenneth Cole Double Monk at first and it was too big and I did not like the look of the shoe once I put it on. I returned and opted for the Steve Madden version. Very pleased with choice and fit is perfect ( i ordered a 1/2 size smaller). The return process was easy and was processed correctly. This shoe will look even better once it is broken in ."

Best value monk-straps anywhere
"I looked around for almost a month trying to decide on a sweet pair of monk straps. The majority of the shoes I came across were well over $300, and didn't look much different than the cheaper ones. The SM monkstraps have the look, are comfortable, well-built, and definitely a steal. Can't wait til they're broken in a little though, as they do come very shiny"
