Tight for Wide Calf
"Being a long-distance runner, I have muscular calves. I bought these being very happy about the wide-calf option. Unfortunately, when I zipped them up there was a struggle in the widest area of the calf. I did manage to zip them up completely but its' tight. Very tight. Tight enough that I'm afraid that the zipper will bust. I wore them around the house a little to see if they would stretch a little, thought that maybe they did but when I put them on later, I still had the same problems getting the zipper up. Maybe my leg was numb? The weirdest part is that the widest part of the boot shaft is the very top of the boot only - not so much of the shaft. In my case there is at least a 2" gap between the top of the boot and my leg right below the knee, yet vice-tight at the calf. Wish the give would be generous in the actual calf area - not the bottom of the knee. Not sure if I'm gonna keep these....."

Well designed, great price
"I have HUGE calves apparently, because these boots will NOT zip up easily over them. The leather is stiff, so I'm hope they will stretch out so I'll wear them around and hope. Other than that, they are WONDERFUL boots. Very comfy, a staple in any wardrobe. I have narrow feet and they fit well so they might not be a good fit for someone with wide feet. The emblem on the side gives them a really classy look and the leather is nice. All that to say, if you don't have giant claves they're a winner!! One star off only because of the claf size - Normally wide calf boots fit me perfectly so I'm thinking they may be on the small side."

Best riding boots
"I bought these last year and never stopped wearing them. The calf part of the boot fits great for wide calf (like I have) I can even fit my pants into them! The boot cuts just under your knee so you don't look too short. Not to mention the great quality of Etienne which I have been a fan of their products for years. I love them!"

Nice boot
"Let me say first:
I"m 5'6, curvy & carry my weight in my hips & legs. I have longer legs and usually order my boots 1/2 size up because I stand all day long. These boots are really cute and I like how they come slightly higher up the side then most. The wide calf is comfy and will fit me with leggings but not jeans. I feel like they make my foot look like its about a size 10, not 8.5 that I ordered. The foot is comfortable with thick socks and I definitely didn't need to order a size up as I find they run a bit large. Also the one negative is that they bag a bit at the ankles which is unfortunate but not noticeable if you are walking.
I would recommend if you have large calves because they look really really nice on (quality) and will be a classic staple in my wardrobe."
