Very comfortable, but looks a bit off

"The shoes are absolutely comfortable with so much padding on the sole, and the color (dark brown) is a very nice color.
However, I was expecting the laces to pull together very nicely and cover up the tongue of the shoe, but it leaves a significant portion exposed, creating a less neat look. Maybe using a different lacing technique will work better, or my feet are just too wide.
The included pictures show the laces and the color, out of box."
