Classy & Functional
" I was hesitant to buy these boots at first but I am very happy with my purchase after a rainy/snowy week in NYC. They kept my feet warm and dry in both types of precipitation and were stylish enough that I didn't feel dressed down at all on those days. Additionally, they have a snug fit, as opposed to other rain boots, that rids you of the clunky feel. I would recommend these boots, however important to note that they do have a close fit so cannot be worn over bulky pants or socks. "

Look great, but too rigid
" I love the look of these boots. They're solidly constructed and seem like they would last a long time. They are a bit snug and they take a real good tug on the back loop to get them on, but that's fine. Once on, they felt like they fit my feet perfectly.
The problem is that the construction is almost TOO solid. The ankle is so rigid that my foot is stuck at a 90 degree angle to my leg - awkward when going down stairs or any other movement where you'd naturally point your toe. Also, they pinch my big toe on every step. The pinching is a subjective criticism - feet are different and someone else might not have this problem. It's pretty clear, though, that given the thickness and stiffness of the rubber they aren't shoes that will break in. I'm going to have to return them. "

Affordable & Cute Multi-Purpose (Rain) Boots
" I was shopping around for a pair of cute rainboots for the rainy whether that dawns in SF through the fall/winter months (Sept - March). I also wanted a pair that I could wear to work for business casual days. I typically wear slacks to work, but when it rains, I like to throw on a dress (or oversized sweater or blouse) with a pair of leggings/tights. For some time, I was able to pull this off with leather boots, but the rain would stain/seep through my leather boots. I tried the Merona rainboots from Target, but the soles were chunky and the whole shoe smelled like rubber. Many of my co-workers have Hunter rainboots, but I wanted something inconspicuous and not shiny. I then started looking into Burberry rainboots, but they were way out of my budget. Finally, when I browsed through the selection at DSW.com, I found these boots. What caught my eye is that this boot looks identical to the Burberry Wellington boot (minus the gold buckle and burberry check insole), but for a fraction of the price ($50 versus $300). I was a bit hesitant when I purchased it, but I'm glad I did because now they're out of my size. These boots did not smell like rubber, were not shiny, were reasonably priced, and fit perfectly! I'd say that they could even pass for multi-purpose boots!!! I'm so glad that I own these rainboots and cannot wait to wear them through many rainy seasons. My search for the perfect rainboots has ended thanks to DSW!!! "
