" these shoes are awesome. I can tell it is a good quality shoe. they were slightly stiff when i first got them but they are started to wear down a little bit. they are very true to size. very stylish. "

European size 39 is not the same as a US 9
" First of all, the lining is completely fabric except for a tiny bit of leather at the top, so seems to be a new trick with shoe makers, to claim it's partially leather inside. Secondly, I normally wear an 8.5 Regular, never been a wide as my feet are slender and long. I ordered the 9 in black. Unfortunately, DSW didn't mention it was actually a European 39, which is not the same thing as a US 9, which is why the shoe is slightly small and narrow. And now the size 10 is already sold out, so I am really disappointed. Otherwise the shoe is very good looking, just as pictured for color and style, and quality soft leather outside. DSW please write a more accurate description. I wish it was my size :( "

Seriously sturdy and comfortable!
" These boots were comfortable right from the box. The insole is slightly padded, which is great except that I always wear extra arch supports--which fit just fine in these boots. I especially love the way they hug the ankle and heel, unlike a lot of boots which pucker and/or bear no relation to the actual shape of your foot. The extra long lace wraps around neatly, the leather is soft and supple, the sole thick with a rugged tread--but not so rugged that they don't still look dressy. I wear them with dresses, skirts and jeans. "

I expected more comfort
" I love almost everything about these boots: the color, the quality, the style (especially the style), even the striped lining. So I was surprised and vastly disappointed by how uncomfortable they were. I was looking for a boot to wear all day and these won't cut it. There's no support whatsoever. I have to admit though, I have zero tolerance for foot discomfort. "
