Inconsistent
" I ordered these in my normal size, a 9. Got them in the mail, and the left one fit but the right was too small. I figured they were a defective pair, so I returned them and ordered another pair in the same size. Got the new pair in the mail and the right one fit but the left was too small (opposite from the first pair)! I feel like I need to mention that this was not a case of one foot being larger than the other, as they say can sometimes be the case, because it was opposite feet for each pair, and it was a significant difference -- not just that one was a tad more snug than the other. If I had just kept the original left with the new right, they would have been great, but they were way to inconsistent for me to waste any more time trying. I won't trust this brand again! "

Nice shoe but.....
" This is exactly the type of riding boot I was looking for, with a very streamlined, unclunky heel. The fact that it's real leather at this price was a huge bonus. I love that the front top of the boot is cut higher than the back...sort of a cool detail. However, one drawback....though the footbed and calves are comfortable (the leather stretches), the area around the ankle is hard and pushes into my ankle with each step, right where the ankle flexes. I'm hoping this eases over time, as it's quite uncomfortable! It's tolerable for short wear, but not something I could stand for a long time. I'm hoping as the leather stretches and molds to my leg a bit more this will go away. It's a shame because they are SO nice, but maybe this is just me and my foot mechanics. I really like them, but I had to take 1 star off for the ankle discomfort factor! "

Sofft Indeed!
" I like these boots a lot!
They're soft, nicely made, comfortable, not too tight around the calves, and true to size.
And most importantly, they look good :)
I ordered these online in a 9.5 which is my usual size.
I'm 5'7" (close to 5'8") and the front of the boot comes up to the bottom of my knee cap.
If you're looking for a classic, black, equestrian style boot, I would definitely recommend these boots! "
