Too bulky
" This shoe looks great on my laptop screen, but not so much in person. I ordered online (like most of my purchases) which as you know can go wrong sometimes, and this was one of those times. I was looking for a sleek, slip-on bootie as pictured, but when I tried them on they were rather clunky looking and heavy. They didn't look good with skinny jeans in my opinion, which is a necessity for these booties. I didn't bother to try them on with anything else. The color was flattering, but ultimately the shape/look gave me a change of heart.

Crazy, Sexy, Cool
" Like the other reviewers, these have been in my cart for some time. I just wasn't sure if I like them enough. They went on clearance, and I took my chance. I read other reviews about the countless compliments, and I just just thought they would be ok, but nothing to rave extensively over. I wore them to work today and surprisingly, received numerous compliments, from coworkers of all ages. So now my like for these shoes, has gone to love; I love them! The color palate is strange to me, so they don't go with everything per say, but it's not hard to find something to wear them with. They are comfortable similar to a sneaker, because the shoe hides the fact that your foot is not as angled as it seems, they're kinda like incognito platforms! Stop debating and get yourself a pair!

Birks are my Default
" This is definitely one of the most comfortable pairs of shoes that I own. I naturally have high arches, so I didn't have to take any time to break them in. I'd wear them everyday if I could. I ordered them in black so they virtually match with everything I wear. I don't have anything negative to say; heck, I'd be the rep for these shoes if they needed one. Stop reading my review and get yourself a pair!

Not the most comfortable
" I was excited to get this pair of shoes since I generally do well with the Brooks brand. However, to my dismay, these shoes were a disappointment. When I originally put them on and ran about 3 miles in them, I figured the discomfort was due to me needing to break them in. That was not the case about 50 miles later and 20 cross training gym classes, these shoes are still uncomfortable, I already have an arch in my foot, so I can't figure out where the discomfort is coming from; I just know shortly after I put them on I can't wait to take them off. I think not being able to adjust the tongue is also an issue for me, because it is designed that way. They are lightweight, but the comfort is not worth it. If you aren't comfortable right after you put them on, don't think you'll need to break them in, they will be uncomfortable regardless, just get a different shoe,

Unique
" This bootie is very stylish and comfortable. I have it in tan and brown and while I thought it would be hard to match with clothing, they actually go with almost anything. I haven't worn these with a dress, but I'm sure I could pull it off and still look like the boss that I am. There hasn't been a time that I've worn them and someone has asked me where I got my shoes. Clearly the answer is, "DSW, it's where you get those shoes"

" I just received my black almost gladiator sandals and while trendy, to my dismay the sole of the shoe is completely destroyed after one wear. I have walked not even a quarter of a mile on cement and a gravel lot where I park for my job and there are all kinds of rocks stuck in the bottom, and just now I discovered the sole of the shoe pealing off; what a disappointment!

Just missed the mark
" Aesthetically appealing shoe, but not worth the uncomfort. The shoe is a bit narrow towards the front and after time, starts to hurt. I don't consider myself having "wide" feet, so the shoe is just narrow. It's very beautiful and I love the colors, but I'm going to have to return these.

Cute but painful
" My goodness, I was so excited to get these shoes in the mail; boy was I disappointed. I don't consider myself to have wide feet, but these were definitely narrower than other shoes I have. I don't even think I could wear a sock or even a knee high with these shoes they were so tight. I went up half a size and they were still quite small. I figured they were so tight because I had to break them in. I walked a block in these shoes and couldn't wait to get to my destination to take them off. They tore up my heel and now I have painful blisters, ugh. I do not reccommend these shoes, they cannot be broken in. Maybe if you have extra narrow feet, you could suffice. I am returning these shoes immediately.

Underwhelmed
" I thought this shoe would be a good look for work. When the shoes arrived I was underwhelmed. The platform near the toe was a little too retracted for my liking. It threw the whole look of the shoe off and I am going to return these first chance I get. If you're into a style where the platform is smaller than the rest of the shoe, this would be a good shoe for you, but me, not so much.

Needs More Pictures in the Description
" I needed an everyday, closed toe, summer shoe. I thought this shoe would cover all of those bases. Unfortunately, upon opening the shoe, I found white faux fur inside. I immediately thought that if I were to wear these shoes in the summer, my foot would eventually sweat and eventually the white faux fur would turn off-white (if you know what I mean.) The shoe is a little narrow, but other than that you get what you "see." It is lightweight and the shoe is multicolored so it could go with anything. For a summer shoe, I would not recommend these, as that's what the shoe appears to me as, but as a winter shoe, why not?

The Most Comfortable
" I've been wanting these boots for a while, and I finally went in the store to pick them up since they were sold out online. After picking them up from the counter where they put them to the side for me, I went to one of the aisles to try them on. I thought the boots initially looked heavy, but not only are they true to size, but are very comfortable. As I walked down the aisle in them, I kept walking because I was mezmorized by other shoes (weakness). Before I knew it, I realized that I had the boots on for about 20 min., which is a testimony to the comfort. Lastly I enjoy how there is leeway in the back for your leg to bend, but the front covers the knee. I'm so excited about these shoes!

Not like any Other
" I saw these shoes and was instantly attracted. I had never seen anything as chic, bold and beautiful as these. I haven't worn them out just yet, but their is a noticeable cushion in them and I know I won't have any problems wearing these for a long period of time. I'll probably pair them with skinny jeans or a long skirt, can't imagine wearing these with a mini-skirt/dress. I imagine they go with anything black, brown or off-white. I'm so excited to show these off.. everyone will be jealous lol! "Where did you get those shoes" DSW! it's where you get "those" shoes!

" These shoes are great! Not only are they stylish they are very, very comfortable. They do scuff easily, so I do not recommend wearing them if you plan to walk around the city or any kind of ground with cobblestone or anything to that extent. The heel is the perfect height and they look great with skinny jeans!

" These shoes are very comfortable and can be worn for hours. I bought them in yellow, walked the streets of DC and received many compliments. However, I got a slight blue tint on one part from wearing jeans with them. That mishap may be due to the fact of the material of the shoe, (suade..i think?) so be careful!

definitely a good buy
" These shoes are great for work! They aren't too over the top but are stylish enough. I got these in purple and I love them! I can wear them with jeans or a skirt and the heel is perfect for walking on the job. However, I think you should buy these in color and not just black because that may be too bland.

" The shoes look and are amazing. I wore them with a skirt and they made my legs look even longer;) They are platform, so the shoes were very comfortable, however, they can be on the heavy side. I received plenty of compliments and I can't wait to wear them again.
