No Sneaking Around
" They'll definitely hear you coming. For the money this is a hard boot to beat. The sole is tough as nails - and nailed to the heel. A pretty snappy boot that goes well with a variety of outfits I particularly like to rock them with an all black ensemble for a touch of tan on the accent. Fairly comfy the only complaint is that they run a little long and thus loose. I might have done better to go a size below normal, though I didn't find any in other store locations so had to compromise. The suede breathes nicely so feet don't get very sweaty at all compared to other leathers. The hard material used for the outsole makes for loud, distinct walking but in some circles this isn't such a bad thing. Just make sure the setting is appropriate for noise makers. I've tried similar and even identical boots by other makers but the cut and styling of the SI's was more attractive to my sensibilities.

Beaters
" A solid Chelsea that is ruggedly built and reasonably comfortable. I got these to have a pair of Chelseas I didn't mind beating up on a bit when I needed a pair of slip-ons that could take some abuse, still look pretty good, and save my other Chelseas for less hostile environments. Definitely an excellent boot for the bargain and one of those shoes that exceeds expectations at the price point.

Moc It Up
" Almost passed this up but am very glad I didn't. Much more comfortable than expected and a nice casual option for times when I want to wear something I don't mind beating up on a little. Not exceptionally rugged or durable and more a fashionable spin on a tough look, these are a happy medium for when dressing down is the way to walk.

" For the money this is a better than expected shoe. Footwear at this price point tends to be "you get what you pay for" but these exceed the usual standard and are great for wearing when you want to look a little better but want something you won't worry about trashing. Beer or wine spills won't send you into a fit wishing you'd worn sneakers.

" The leather is unevenly tanned making for an interesting mix-matched look. The shoe is quite comfortable and a good fit, though I had to go a size and a half larger than usual (I notice that I have to go bigger with Maddens in general). It casually sophisticated, they are fun to wear in less formal environments where a slight dash feels appropriate.

" More comfortable than most but oddly not as supportive in the heel as the arch and toe areas, which are more pillowy soft. A touch long but comfortably snug up front overall, though, again, the heel area is a bit off as it is a little looser in the fit and slips a little (this does seem to be a characteristic of Chelsea Boots in general, however). Not the best Born boot I have owned but definitely still a very worthy purchase that won't disappoint. Toss a heel gel insert in and you'll be floating on your feet. Overall great footwear, as is virtually always the case with Born shoes (this pair is my sixth or seventh Born purchase since my first in 2008, which lasted nearly three years of almost daily wear).

" Casually understated Oxfords that can be worn with nearly anything. Quite comfortable as well. The only thing about the shoe that bothers me is the inconsistent tones in the leather that vary greatly by shoe. Some are very light while others are quite dark and the different overlays can contrast both profoundly and non-uniformly, making for a rather mish-mashy look overall.

Winging It
" I'm a hard sell on Oxfords. I rarely find a pair I like but these definitely cut the mustard. Quite comfortable and a bit more stylish and unique than the standard Brogue. Very solid construction. The only drawback for me are the nails in the heel that will no doubt scuff some fine floors and make a bit of noise on the street. I'll be saving these for more formal occasions though they go great with almost any long pant outfit.

Walking on Pillows
" One of the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. Just a touch long but nearly flawless in fit. Casually understated yet stylish and wearable with almost anything. I have the black pair and the brown stitching helps to make the shoes match with almost any outfit. The insoles feel like you're walking on pillows - or clouds!

" Great styling. Typically rugged build. Reasonably comfortable though a bit stiff in the ankle and forward foot area. Fine for walking and casual hikes but not the most comfortable to drive in.
