" I just received these boots today and am already counting the days until it rains! They look like they can even be worn on non-rainy days. Here's the breakdown:
[ FIT ]
I normally wear a 6.5 and I followed DSW's (and Dav's) suggestion of sizing down. The size 6 fit perfectly with a medium weight sock and had about a thumb's width left in the toe area. This boot has a narrow calf opening so keep that in mind if you have a wider calf. I have a 12" calf and the boot fits snugly when worn with a pair of jeans.
[ MEASUREMENTS (SIZE 6) ]
Footbed - 10"
Height - 15 3/4" at the tallest point (the outer calf)
15" at the inner calf
[ QUALITY ]
These aren't as rigid as other rain boots I've tried. There is also a nice fleece lining on the inside that keeps your feet warm! The lining looks more like a thick suede rather than the Uggs and Bearpaw fluffy boot lining. This helps the boot slip on and off easier.
[ MAIN POINTS ]
- If you're a half size, size down if you plan on wearing medium to lightweight socks; size up if you plan on wearing thicker wool-like socks
- If you're a whole size, stick with your regular size
- Boot has a narrow calf
Overall, these boots are the perfect balance of stylish and functional. Enjoy these beauties, everyone! "

" I've been looking for the perfect combat boot for ages! I wanted something that is the perfect amount of girly and edgy. These definitely fit the bill. I really like the wrap-around laces, but the color is a bit lighter than the picture shows. More like a tan. Not a problem for me since it's actually what I was hoping for :) Just keep that in mind if you're looking for a darker boot!
Now for the fit: I had to take one star off because my normal size just didn't fit the way it normally does. I'm a very true to size 6.5M. I ended up ordering the 6 and 6.5. The 6.5 was a tad too big length-wise and a bit too wide in the toe. Then I tried on the 6. Oi, the width was perfect but the length was too short. If only there was a size 6.25...
Well I ended up keeping the 6.5 and, even with insoles and two pairs of socks, there is about 3/4" left in the toe area. I'll make them work though! They're too cute to return.
OH! And as a side note: expect the tongue (aka front flap) of the boot to be a bit wrinkled. I've found that this is due to the way the shoes are packaged. "

" I have to say, I was super nervous about ordering these boots online. So many other reviewers had trouble getting their feet into the boots, but I'm glad to say that my feet slipped in perfectly!
I ordered my normal size (6.5M) and the length was true to size. Just keep in mind that these boots do run slightly narrow even for my average, albeit slightly narrow feet. So size up if you plan on wearing thicker socks or if you have wider feet.
Overall, I'm glad I purchased these boots! They'll look great with a dress, leggings, or a pair of skinny jeans :) "
