Usually a Brooks fan...NOT a fan of PureCadence 2
" I run in Brooks and love them (usually run in Ghosts with my orthotics). I wanted a lightweight running shoe more for casual use. I read lots of reviews on these; they were mixed. I have a normal width forefoot but a slightly narrow mid-foot and heel. Have never purchased a narrow shoe as they would not work with a medium forefoot...especially in a running shoe. Some reviews stated that these shoes were narrow. I thought they might work with certain parts of my foot leaning toward narrow (I often have to combat heel-slippage in running shoes with special lacing techniques or go down a size in size in sandals/slip-on styles). No way. These are so narrow in the mid-foot that they really pressed into the sides of my out foot and arch. Brooks tend to run about a half size small, and I accounted for that when I ordered. I gave these 2 stars because they look spectacular. It's really too bad that they are so narrow, because I think they would have been ok for casual use otherwise. I would not use this type of shoe for running as they are minimalist and do not provide enough support for me. Brooks needs to re-think the width on these.

Love...
" I had a similar pair from Aerosoles in black and needed some in brown. These are awesome; this is coming from someone with long, slightly narrow, yet normal width at forefoot, and achy big toe joint feet. The heel height is enough to be dressy/sexy but not sky-high. The footbed is nicely padded. They are a beautiful neutral brown color that will go with much in the wardrobe. This will be the go-to pump for summer.

Buying more...
" These are very comfortable and very versatile. I wore them nearly every day to work over the summer. The only reason I gave them 4 stars is the sizing. I had to go an entire size down because my normal size 9 slid right off my feet. They don't offer narrow options, so I had to go down to a size 8. They must run a bit long because the length of an 8 still worked. I don't consider my feet narrow really, so they must run wide. Anyway, completely my favorites for summer. Glad I put the effort into finding a size that worked.

Ummmm...No.
" There is no support in these boots--they felt like walking on wooden boards (tried in inside on carpet). The black leather looked nice, but the calf and ankle were so big that they sagged. These are not supposed to be slouchy-style boots. My calves aren't super skinny at 14", but as I tried these on, I realized I could fit my arm down in the boot--almost to my elbow. I even had boot cut jeans tucked down in them! Having a hard time finding boots that don't fit this way...returned. Customer service at local store during return process was awesome though.
