cute but leather is easily scuffed
" This Born oxford is a cute shoe, and I really like the velvet shoelaces. Unfortunately, the color finish on these is easily rubbed and lightened, after even one day of wear. It takes regular conditioning (with a darkening conditioner like Obenauf's) to keep them looking good instead of scuffed up. The toe box is a little pointy (my friend dubbed these "elf shoes"), which causes a little discomfort if you have wide feet.

comfortable dress shoe
" Very comfortable dress shoe that also looks classic and professional. Ecco lives up to its reputation. My feet are finicky so I also use Superfeet insoles with all my dress shoes. The Ecco insoles were easy to take out (lightly glued), for those that may want to do something similar.

looks great and also very comfortable
" This is my first pair of Danskos. The boot is knee-high and the contrast between the suede and the soft leather makes the boot distinctive while retaining classic lines. The calf circumference is slightly adjustable because of the buckles.
They are very comfortable. I stood all day the first day I wore them and had zero issues. No breaking in is needed. No pain in the arches. My feet are relatively wide and not even my little toes were pinched!
The boot is also thoughtfully and cleverly designed, especially the details of the sole. While the leather and suede are on the thin side, they are very soft, and the back of the heel and the rim of the sole are reinforced, so that the leather and suede rarely (if ever) will come into contact with the ground or with dirt, and thus the boot will avoid a lot of the most common wear and tear.

" It's not obvious from the picture, but these are not pure slide sandal style. There is a little piece leather hooking around the big toe. However, unlike flip-flops, the division of toes doesn't cause a lot of friction. I'm guessing it's just there as extra insurance against the shoe sliding off unintentionally.
The footbed is comfortably shaped, but I wish there was more padding and more support for arches. However, they would be comfortable for anyone who doesn't need the extra arch support.
The suede leather is soft while still having structure. The straps/bands will not cut into the feet. Also, the embroidery on the straps is a nice touch.
Also, no matter the color, these are definitely on the casual side for sandals, more suitable to wear for a walk or with a t-shirt than with a dress.
