Surprising comfort everywhere but ankles...
" ...but, that's probably just me with thick ankles. I received these today. I got them in black. They really are visually amazing: the ultimate sexy Gladiatrix. I wore them for a couple of hours and found that standing, walking and going up and down stairs was not a problem in them. However, as stated, the many straps started to wear on my ankles. So, I worked with the long laces and found an adjustment that helped. Another surprise was how long they actually do run. I wear 6.5. It felt like I had on 7-7.5; so, I will be exchanging them for a size 6. Aside from these minor complaints, I LOVE the look and feel of these unique, expensive-looking sandals. I do recommend them despite the 4 stars.

Picky daughter actually thrilled with my pick!
" I bought these, and the Gabriellas, for my daughter who usually never likes what i pick out for her -- she's 14...say no more. So, when the DSW box arrived, I had her open it, telling her there was a surprise for her inside. When she opened these boots in the box, she gasped and looked at me: "mama, you actually got me something I like!" She then proceeded to try them on. She wears 8-8 1/2 -- these were 9's (the only size close to her's left on the site). She complained for a minute about their being a little too big; but that passed when I told her to wear thicker socks with them. One notable feature to these boots is the fabric pattern -- a really nice smokey blue-grey in a subtle plaid. They are simply perfect!

Worried I'd tip over...
" I loved the look of these wedgies, but the photos on the DSW site didn't really tell me anything about the shoe's stability. Well.....I was VERY pleasantly surprised to find that they are quite steady. They don't feel like platforms at all (until you hit a pebble or cracked sidewalk). They're also really comfy. They fit the foot well and even have a bit of arch support. All this said- these are the coolest looking shoes from all angles! I am really short -- I wanted a little height -- I got it. I plan to purchase more from DSW after being so pleased with my new shoes!
