hmmm.... not quite what i expected
" It's cute. the only problem is that the heel is not as sturdy as it looks (as in, it's not quite secured properly onto the shoe) so it's uncomfortable to walk in. they;re heading back...

OK for a short time
" So here's the deal... I think that if you're not heavy, you can walk in these forever BUT.... I'm 5'4" sz 12--you do the math on my weight. I can comfortably walk in these for about 2 hours, but anything beyond that, I start walking like a penguin trying to tell myself that the pain in my feet are imaginary. I love these though... Shoes like these make me extra happy that I was born a girl :)

comfortable yet somewhat stylish
" These definitely look better on your feet. Easy colors to go with anything in the summer. the heels give enough height but platformed, so they feel like orthopedic pumps! I personally don't like straps at the ankle, but I think these are keepers.

Only Levity that I have run into that runs large
" It looks uber-high, but very comfortable. I am a bit wary about how thin the heel is (seems to me that a good mile long walk on the street and the heel might need to be replaced). Pretty shoe.

inexpensive platform boots with tracktion
" Got the purple ones as it was a perfect match to my $2500 suede coat. Up close, you can tell that that fabric is different, but otherwise, if coupled properly with different accessories, these do not look like a cheap pair of $39 boots! I did change the shoe laces though to silk ones. I also got the same boots with buckles/zipper (instead of the laces up ones shown here), and have received numerous compliments on them as well. Three starts because they run so BIG. Order a half size smaller. I am a true 8.5 (Ok, my feet might be a tad wider than a true M), but these were BIG. They because UBER comfortable after I put in insoles though.

" If only a bit wider... the height is great, and everything points to these being comfortable, but my feet were too wide. I am a true 8.5M. I don;t have uber wide feet or anything but they didn't fit :'(

AMAZING CONFORT
" It goes w/o saying that if you have weak ankles, you shouldn't be wearing wedges, so do take note. the sole of the shoe (the part that actually makes contact with the ground is approx 15-20% smaller than your feet, so if you don;t know how to walk in heels, etc., these may NOT be the shoe for you.
As far as wedges/higher heels go, these are BEYOND comfortable. IF all sexy high heel shoe designers used this shoe last, I would NEVEER buy flats ever again. I love these. "

don;t go too large
" the leather stretches so even if the shoe is a bit snug at first, don;t go larger. These are GREAT, The rubber sole is somewhat softer than most: plus is the sushion, but the minus is that it tends to wear down easier. I love them.

fast shipping was the best part

The upper part is pleather+cotton(?) yarn. I do agree with another reviewer that that they do run and entire size too small (I am an 8.5m and I think I needed a 9.5). If you have wide feet, the pretty crochet area on top gets distorted and could potentially make you look disheveld/frumpy...
These get 5 starts for the cut deal price of $99 (over 80% off), but getting a good deal does not make wearing a less than perfect pair of shoes a good thing. Also, 5 stars for the super fast free shipping.
If you have standard non-pudgy feet, I would go for it. if you have wider/plumpier feet, you would be better off finding something else. Because it runs a tad narrow, tad short, and because the upper part of the shoe offers little or no support, the Crochet Sligback gets 2 stars.
