Subtle sexy
" These are the exact shade of brown I was looking for, and have a nice neutral-ish effect. It's almost a closed pump, but the cutaway instep and crossover ankle strap really make it special. Note: the strap with the buckle crosses over from the outer side and feeds through a notch at the back of the heel piece. You do need to pull this out so you can get your foot in. My ankles are a bit skinny, so I think I will have to bore another hole in the strap. However, I did wear them all day at work and they were fine.

Pretty & Comfy
" These are perfect runaround shoes. I am usually a bit hesitant with elasticised edges, but these do not bunch up at all. I do love the colour. The sole runs up at the back a bit, so they are fine for driving. The sole is very cushiony -- so good for walking too. They are also quite lightweight, and I think they'd be perfect for travelling and long trips -- almost like house slippers :-) I have worn them all day long and found no chafing or rubbing.

Elegant
" These are minimal, elegant shoes, perfect if your outfit is a bit fussy. The black suede gives a nice rich texture and depth of colour.
The width was perfect, but I found them a little bit long. The toe strap is exactly right, but I found a bit of looseness at the heel, though the ankle strap keeps it on fine. I usually wear a size 8, but I think I should have ordered a 7.5. (I found that I do have a pair of Sam Edelman shoes which I bought instore, which are 7.5.) There were no points of discomfort -- I mean, these are 4.5" heels, so they are not for jogging -- but there was no rubbing or pinching anywhere.

Can't go wrong
" This is a beautiful, well-made clutch. Very (semi-old school) elegant; it'll go with many things. It's a good 'evening' size -- phone, keys, lipstick, tissue, cards, cash; though it won't hold a wallet. Note that it is plain black on the other side, which helps with versatility.

Elegant, but narrow!
" These are an 'abused' metallic finish rather than the smooth burnished gold pictured. I bought these for my daughter, a university student, as a dressier 'hanging' shoe, and she loves them. EXCEPT: They are awfully narrow. We wear the same size but my feet are slenderer than hers (note: I do not buy a narrow size; I always wear normal width, and so does she). She honestly could not get her feet in. I got them on with some difficulty and had to wear them around the house for a bit before my daughter could get hers in. She has 'broken them in' by wearing them around the house with socks, and says the leather has given and they are now comfortable enough to wear out. (We do not live in America, so returning them would've been a bit of drama.) They are good-looking shoes, though.

Me like
" I'm always happy with the fit of JS/Jessica shoes: the arch is always exactly right, the shape is always elegant. I needed black heels, and this one is simple without being plain. I also like the contrast between the shiny patent-y finish on the skinny wedge and the matte finish of the leather upper. They're quite high, but I like high. :-) I can wear these all day.
