Waterproofing Gripe
" These boots are handsome and feel very well-made, but sadly are not truly waterproof. NOT DSW'S FAULT - Merrell advertises them as waterproof also, but the bottom line is that the tongue is not gusseted, so any snow that works its way above the top of the toebox is going to go right into the front of the boot. It is a bit disappointing if you are looking for an attractive and technical boot. "
