"Just because your foot is longer does not mean everything else is scaled up. The shoe wasn't just made longer, but larger. The ankle was way too loose and could be dangerous.
I'm a size 12 (born female), and was looking at these in store in 10 (the highest size they carried) and the ankles looked fine. Just got my 12s in the mail today. I bought these as work boots since I'm medically required to wear heels due to a high arch, but doing active work with lots of lifting and carrying in these could result in a sprained ankle.
They're like standing in buckets.
They do appear well made otherwise, but I really wish shoe companies that want to make large sizes would learn how they work, first..."
