Love these boots

" These were my "risk" pair of boots in that I wasn't sure how the sizing was going to work on my feet, but they were on sale and I was in need of a good pair of hiking boots. These boots fit me perfectly! I am a size 12 and my feet have a quadruple e width (which is why I say these boots run wide- cause they fit like they were made for me!). They are soft right out of the box and have a rich leather smell. Construction is sturdy (I'm not afraid of them falling apart anytime soon- in fact they will probably build up a nice patina and character over time). They grip the ground well over different types of terrain (though I have not tested them on an actual trail yet, but they have been comfortable going up and down hill and over rocks and fallen branches). They hug your ankles snugly so not a major risk of twisting there (still breaking that part in so that they conform more to the shape of that area). The boots fit around my feet tightly enough so I can feel secure walking in them in standard ankle high socks, but there is just enough room for me to put on thicker socks should the weather call for them. O and they're American made (the Labor Union patch lay on the inside of the tongue (nice touch I thought)).

Can't wait to hit many trails in these boots in the years to come! "
