" Lovely boots! I bought these not expecting to like them -- I had a trip coming up to the UK and needed something that would keep my feet dry and warm in the cold and drizzle, so I purchased them at the last minute.
I treated the outside with mink oil paste to help repel water, which softened the leather nicely and also darkened it slightly.
I have wide feet, so I ended up pre-stretching the toebox with some stretch spray and creatively placed rolled up socks overnight, and they fit perfectly afterwards! My calves are on the slimmer side so there is a gap around the top, but they still look great.
I would give them 5 stars if they came in a wide width foot and if the footbed were a little more cushioned -- at the end of the day my heels were sore, but I had also walked quite a bit! They were comfortable from the get-go, however.
