Cute ankle boots for thicker legs
" This is a sexy ankle bootie made with wonderful quality leather in the upper. This bootie is so cute with skinny jeans and dresses! The width of the cuff is adjustable but it still runs a little wider than most ankle booties so they don't hug the ankle. I believe it will be good for women with bigger calves and skinny ankles (balances the legs out). The cone heel helps distribute the weight on your feet better (as opposed to stilettos) but be careful because they are 4" high and there is no platform in the ball of the shoe! Because of the pointed toe, the shoe runs narrow and your feet will tend to slide forward. I would size up 1/2 size just to prevent toe squishing or to leave room for insoles. It would be better if there was at least a 1/2" to 1" platform. Also, the sole looks so luxurious and well made but after walking the streets in them a couple of times, the black synthetic material scraped off, leaving the appearance of a brown, cardboard looking sole. It doesn't really affect your gait (and actually makes the shoe less slippery) but I think at some point, some resoling will be needed. "

Amazing riding boots!
" I am 5'1 and have athletic calves (14.5in. circumference). Like previous reviewers, this is the only riding boot I have found that actually zips all the way up. Yes, the calf circumference of the boot is 14.5in. just like my calves, so I struggled to zip them up initially BUT that was also because I had jeggings on! The elastic gore paneling at the top runs to the side in a very fashionable style that looks amazing and it creates enough stretch for skinny jeans/jeggings/tights. So girls with calves like mine, you CAN wear these over pants but you might just have to put up a small struggle and stretch the sides the first few times you wear it. Without tights or jeggings, they were a little easier to put on. Once on, it is very flattering to the leg! My calves feel very comfortable in the boot (it did not cut off any circulation)!
What's even better is that these are also made of real leather! The quality is beautiful and doesn't look cheap. The only con for me is that the leather is semi-soft and my small ankles cause the boot to wrinkle just a bit. I sized up 1/2 size to a 7 because the footbed runs narrow - even with a thin sock it felt tight. "
