They Seemed Wonderful
" I bought these together with another pair of boots during a promotion, and had to return both because the non-born ones were a no go, which was quite sad as these were beautiful. Like my other born shoes, they were immediately comfortable and the quality was obvious. The color was quite nice in person, unique without shouting out "hey, I'm purple!" I don't typically wear heels, and didn't wear these long enough to know for certain if I could wear them all day, but they felt quite comfortable when I tried them on. Would definitely recommend!

Not Great
" Was disappointed that I couldn't love these. It was in part my fault -- I didn't notice upon ordering that the W meant it was a wide width in addition to being wide calf. I was able to zip up over the calf in jeans, though snuggly (my calves are a little less that 15 in at the widest) and the height was perfect for my short legs (I'm 5'1). They looked nice on, though the leather was pretty cheap (far from the worst I've seen, but definitely not nice). However, they were extremely uncomfortable in the foot bed in addition to being too wide for my average foot. They felt quite hard and had a strange rectangular-shaped support in the middle that made it feel as if something was in my shoe. It seemed that they would also rub against my outer ankles. I probably won't try Matisse boots again in the future, as neither the quality nor the comfort seem worthy of the price.
