"I work in kitchens for a living and have tried multiple brands of slip-resistant shoes: Payless' Safe T Step, SR Max, Shoes for Crews. All have come short in actually being durable and slip-resistant. While the bottom of the shoe may appear shallow with much narrower spacing between the gripping (I had my doubts) I have yet to slip at all. It doesn't catch all of the debris from the floor like many other shoes do, hence gumming up the bottom and preventing the shoe from being slip-resistant. These shoes are nice and light compared to many other brands I have tried and even have nice cushioning for your feet. I have yet to own them long enough to attest to length of life, but if they hold up I will never buy another slip-resistant brand again."
