No complaints at this price point
" They're a very inexpensive ballet flat, and for the price point, they're great. They aren't perfect: they're veryveryvery flat, so if you need any support at all, you won't get it here. They're quite cute, but I drive a manual transmission, and based on the wear on them in the first two weeks of wearing them (creased left sole, mostly) I don't expect them to last more than one season. But at this price that's the most I would expect of them. "

Not just wide calf, SUPER wide calf.
" I have 15.5" calves. This boot is listed at 15-3/4" but that can't possible be right: I was able to zip them up over pants, and then stick my entire hand up to my wrist down into the boot with my leg. The shaft is HUGE, the material felt fairly cheap and didn't stand up well on its own-- the shaft sat weird on my leg. Given that they were so much larger than they were listed, I can't really review them properly, hence the 3 stars. "

Wide calf is great!
" **This review is of the wide calf version with a 15.5" shaft circumference, not the standard.**
I spent hours shopping online for a wide calf riding boot one day before finally giving up and going to the store, where this boot was the first one I saw. My shopping companion asked what I was looking for, and I said, "Well, pretty much this, actually." And that was all she wrote. This boot has a soft, velvety, man-made upper, with a small elastic panel in the back for a snug but not too tight fit. I have 15.5" calves and wear this wide calf boot comfortably with narrow jeans or tall socks under them. Cute with dresses or pants, the cut of the top is vaguely western. The harness detailing makes it look like a much more expensive boot, and I've gotten multiple compliments on them each time I've worn them.
I do have moderate concerns about the quality. The sole isn't cushy at all, so if you can fit an insole you may want to (I unfortunately edge towards a half size that doesn't exist, so it's a no-go for me). But this half inch heel height is perfectly comfortable even without any squish, though you might want a cushy sock if you'll be on your feet a long time. "

Super comfy with GOLD detail!
" I bought these for frequent wear at work. I wear a lot of black, but I also primarily wear silver toned metallic accents, so I was a bit disappointed to find that the accent on this shoe is gold rather than silver. It doesn't say that anywhere in the product description or any other reviews posted at this time, so you've heard it from me first: gold! That said, the shoe is comfortable-- I'm a 10 that edges towards those tough-to-find 10.5, and these are a hair snug in a 10, but wearable and I suspect they'll stretch a bit. "

I live in these things.
" I'm on my second pair. The first pair stood by me through nearly two years and a wide variety of shoe-intense activities: concerts, festivals, shopping, football games (watching, not playing), vacations, etc. They even went on a couple of impromptu hikes. I lived in them for nearly every non-work and non-fancy event in my life and they were champs. They started to disintegrate during a vacation that involved an intense music festival and seveal miles a day of city walking. When I got home I went straight to the store to get a new pair. Full disclosure: I wear insoles, but I've been wearing the same ones for like four years, and while yes, I love them, they wouldn't work if the boots weren't also great. Buy these, love these, wear them to death and buy another pair. I'll never be without them. "

Runs big!
" I am in my early 30s and have worn a size 10 shoe for over 15 years, almost exclusively. Some shoes I need a 10.5, VERY occasionally I'll be able to make a 9.5 fit.
Ultimately I ended up with a 9.5 in this shoe, but it was a tough call between that and a 9. At one point I actually tried on an 8.5, a size I haven't worn since I was a preteen.
Long story short these shoes run comedically large, so size down at least half a size-- better yet, try on in store before you buy. "
