Plastic or leather?
" I'm returning these boots because they're too big. They don't come in half-sizes so I ordered a size 10 when I normally wear a 9.5. That's not really an issue, the issue for me is that they don't really look like the DSW photo. Even if these had fit perfectly, I would have returned them. I'm not sure if they're made of leather or plastic. My guess is that it's cheaply tanned leather and they just look cheap. The material is thin and shiny, not at all like the photo. I had much higher expectations.

HUGE!
" I'm returning these. I have never purchased a shoe or boot that was so much bigger than the indicated size. I ordered a 9.5 D, but this boot fit more like an 11 W. Seriously Big!
The boot itself seems fairly well made. The leather was an OK quality -- I mean it's a low budget boot and the quality of the boot is appropriate for the cost. I probably would have kept it if it had fit with the expectation that it would maybe last one season. I don't have high expectations for boots in this price range, but I do expect them to fit or at least be close to the indicated size.
