Comfortable, but run a little short

" I have about 4-5 pairs of Italian Shoemakers shoes in 8 - they are very comfortable. These are very comfortable as well, however they run quite a bit short. I am about an 8 1/4 (not a real size, I know) so I usually order an 8 or 8 1/2 (occasionally). I got these in an 8 and my foot goes over the end by about 1/4". I measured my foot based on their size chart (inches given) and I was an 8 - but I'm going to return and get the 9. Also, I have a narrow foot and they fit my foot snug, which I like. I hope they work because they are cute and comfortable!! "
