Rain boots that look like real boots
" I had never desired a pair of rain boots before these. Most rain boots seemed so big and "galoshy" that I thought I would wear them to work and then have to change into proper shoes. I imagined rain boots would squeak as my calves brushed past each other.
I'm not sure what made me try these on in-store... probably the styling (gold "button" and back zipper), but they are as sleek and fashionable as real boots — especially in black. I love the almond toe. I love that there's not a ton of extra space around my legs.
I'm short (5'2"), and these boots come to just below my knees (the top edge doesn't hit the front of my knee or the back of my leg when I walk). The height also means I can confidently wade through some pretty deep water. They're one solid, molded piece, so I'm not worried about the sole separating or water getting in anywhere (they're also easy to clean). They have a really nice, matte rubber finish. The one odd design decision is that the back zipper is fake. A real zipper would have made them a cinch to take off, but even without that, they're not a struggle to remove. (Not like some boots...)
I checked "slightly short" because I'm an 8.5 and the 9 fits like a dream (these shoes only come in whole sizes). I checked "slightly narrow" because I have feet on the narrow side and they feel so great. I have normal-sized calves. Wide feet and wide calves probably won't like these. "

For wide feet only
" What a disappointment! In terms of styling, these reminded me of (the much more expensive) Aquatalias, but they fit like galoshes. They are wide in the foot and very big around the ankle. I look (and feel) like a little kid playing in her mom's "grown up" shoes. "

Snazzy, but you may need inserts
" To see these shoes in person is to love them (they are SO cute!), but they suffer from two comfort problems, which may or may not be issues for you: (1) the top of the shoe is trimmed in (stiff) patent, and they're digging into my ankle bone. Maybe this won't be a problem once they're broken in. (2) The arch support is inadequate -- I can feel it just standing around in them for ~5 minutes. This is a problem I've had with Bandolino heels before; by the end of the day, I'm hobbling. An arch insert might solve both problems. "

The perfect casual heeled boot
" I like everything about these. They're super comfortable, the heel is stable and really easy to walk in (I don't think I could name a shoe with a 3.5" heel that's more comfortable than these), I love the tread on the sole, and the almond toe shape is cute and ladylike. I have feet that are on the narrow side, and I think (thanks to the laces) that these shoes would be equally good for narrow and "regular" feet. "

A less expensive shoe that looks less expensive
" Compared to other oxford heels out there right now, you're saving some money choosing the MT Lupe, but they also look less expensive. The detailing is stamped into the leather (instead of being done in a contrasting material). It's less obvious in the black than in the grey.
The big hidden platform makes the heel height quite accessible, but it also makes the shoes a bit clompy (I found myself taking shorter steps on wood floors), and gives the front of the shoe a slightly cartoonish look.
Based on the shoes I tried on, the grey also seems wider than the black. I have narrow-ish feet, and even with the laces pulled as tight as they would go, the grey looked and felt obviously too wide. (I'd need socks or something to fill all that empty space around my ankles.) By comparison, the black seems only slightly wide -- fine to wear without socks. "

These run wide
" These shoes are reasonably cute, but they definitely run wide. My feet are a little narrow, and they're just swimming in the toe box. I also have a lot of extra space around the ankle, so if I did keep them, I would only wear them under pants that hid the tops.
They also lack arch support. "

Almost perfect
" These were a last-minute, impulse addition to my cart, so when I received them, I was pleasantly surprised. I didn't even believe they were 3" heels (my upper limit) because they're so comfortable and stable (quite easy to walk in).
The elastic loops provide a surprisingly nice fit -- and because they're elastic, I imagine this shoe would accommodate a range of foot widths. I have narrow feet and they're reasonably snug. The shoes are also quite dainty. The round buttons and almond toe make me feel like Mozart (or a character from the Nutcracker Ballet).
Two things that are a problem for me, but might not be a problem for you: (1) there isn't much in the way of arch support. An insert might fix this. (2) The outside edge of one shoe rubs against my ankle bone. Just a little, but it's something to think about. "

Order a half size up
" These shoes are very lightweight -- they look like a hiking boot, but wear like a shoe. (They also have no tread; the soles are basically smooth.) The insole is cushiony, and it's nice that you can "set" the laces to your preferred tightness, then just zip the shoes on and off. Because I have narrow feet, I tried these in both narrow and medium width. Both felt half a size too short, in terms of length of my foot.
The narrow is pretty cramped in the toes. I tried them on with thin socks, and I felt that the shoe was not only too short, but the toebox was not quite tall enough. The shoe was smushing my toes. The fit of the foot and ankle is pretty much up to you, since you can tighten or loosen the laces.
The medium width felt better in the toebox (though the shoe is still too short). Though the fit in the ankle was absolutely fine, I kind of missed the "hug" of the narrow. "

Cuteness can't compensate for fit
" I LOVED the look of these shoes on the website, but walking around in them, I can feel the shoe sliding back and forth on my foot with every step. My toes keep hitting the front of the shoe, and I'm not really getting the benefit of the arch support because it's not always hitting in the right spot. I attribute this problem to the shoe being too wide, and not gripping my foot correctly. The length is perfect, so I can't fix it by sizing down.
They're still cute (and slightly cowboy, thanks to the top of the shaft being highest at the outside of the knee), but experience has taught me that I'll eventually regret any pair of shoes that doesn't fit right. "

Disappointing!
" These boots are like a Frankenstein of two different boots, sewn together at the ankle.
The shoe below the ankle looks sleek and expensive, with the dull shine of real leather. Handsome military/motorcycle shape, slightly pointed toe, and extremely comfortable. I like the motorcycle stud detailing around the ankle, too.
Above the ankle, the leather is SO crummy. Too shiny, too shapeless and saggy. "

They're SO comfortable
" Pros: The cushioned insole is shockingly comfortable, from the moment you zip the shoes on. My narrowish feet are held snugly and securely. Sometimes (in other shoes) my feet slide forward and jam into the front of the boot, leading to toe discomfort over the course of the day. These fit like a dream.
Cons: I question how the suede finish will fare in wet weather.
Other observations (neither good nor bad): Under a medium-length skirt, the styling makes it look like you're wearing leather leggings over your boots. Maybe you already knew that, but I just discovered it. "

I didn't LOVE them
" Pros: The foot is a great fit, and the insole is comfortable (though it's a flat shoe, so I'd expect nothing less). The laces allow you to adjust tightness in both the foot and the calf -- I have narrowish feet and normal calves. They're a nice snug fit, which is great if you want to wear them with leggings/skinny jeans. They're obviously not real leather, but the material is pretty decent (flexible, reasonably sturdy, looks good in the mirror).
Cons: The tops of these boots hit at mid-knee for me, and since the back isn't cut away, they poke me every time I bend my knee (walking). I also wasn't a huge fan of the rounded, slightly lifted toe... they remind of me galoshes.
Other observations (neither good nor bad): The laces make me feel like Katniss/Robin Hood/Lara Croft. Also, you'll see a bit of sagging/bunching at the ankle. Not a deal-breaker, not something someone else would notice. "
